I was talking to a buddy today, and in his somewhat broken french/english, he was saying that CR has proposed upping the minimum drinking age to 21?

Anyone know anything about this, or is the info false? Im sure Im the only person that actually affects directly :?

But if they did, a good portion of the girls wouldnt be allowed to enter the Del Rey?

Do not where he heard that. Have not seen anything in the local papers that would support that rumor.

I can also count on one hand the number of times I have seen someone carded in CR(and two of those were at New's Cafe). They could make it 30 but the small resteraunts and bars will still be serving. JMO.

I'd be suprised if they even tried this. Know when it was proposed in the EU, the populace went nuts and it never got off the ground.
But keep in mind, it is the US behind such things, trying to promote our "values" with cash donations. So who knows???
They did the same thing with the states in the US. Feds told them to raise the drinking age or they would not get federal road money...
As for checking IDs...every time any girl walks into DR, KL, Presidente, SL etc. she is checked. In addition I've seen a guy check an ID at NY Bar before. Good thing too cause she looked too young but after seeing the ID check, I snapped her up

Ive actually been ID'd every time I entered the Del Rey, even though all the guys clearly recognized me, they still continued to do it. But the smaller bars dont seem to care a whole lot
