I stayed at this hotel from June 8th till June 10th. There is some rule change there. Ticas that is wearing short skirt, shorts and "revealing" tops are not allowed to check in with you.

When you check out , make sure you do not pass 12:15. They are really uptight about the noon check out policy. Their clock is also about 10 minutes fast. I was at the front desk at 12:20, they charged me $38 dollars for late check out. They claim to give 30 minutes courtsey time, but their clock is fast, you only get about 15 minutes.

Late check out is a joke, but you get that everywhere.

In Manila last trip, I go down to the front desk the night before and nicely ask, "Think I could check out an hour or so past noon? My flight doesnt leave til 3?"

Reply "yes sir, no problem. I will make note on your account that you stay later"

So I walk down the stairs about 12:45, ready to check out and grab my taxi. I get dinged 40$, for a half day charge.

He failed to tell me that part.

The Presidente with the CRT discount is still one of the best deals in CR.

No change. That has been the policy for at least a year. There are in numeral threads concerning it. Just do a search.

I wish their was a way to get picture surveillance of the ladies in question. Ive seen numerous pictures of girls in the Presidente, wearing what I would consider to be pretty revealing clothing.

Im not sure what the problem is, but only a handful of guys have posted out of the hundreds that have stayed there.

My guess would be it has more to do with the girl and how she acts.

Nothing new. They been doing that "Dress code" thing for over a year now. Most girls are catching on to this and always carry some sort of long sweater in their purses.

Or try greasing the door guy a mil or 2, that usually works as well, which has been mentioned before on the board.........

contact nixon. the rooms are great and the hotel staff very helpful. wifi, cable tv, hair dryer, coffee in room, a/c and the buffet breakfast included. i got shafted on another reservation this am and contacted nixon for same day checkin. nice and easy. pretty much a us quality hotel and no chica fee either. the restaurant also has the best sopa azteca in town imho. i have tried many others. this is my second long stay here this trip and i am very pleased.

YO unhappy lodgers:

Not every hotel is for everyone just as no chica pleases every gringo. There are many places to lodge in SJ and it's your responsibility to find what fits your requirements. Remember, thhis hotel caters to a more diverified clientel......it's called "good business."

Personally, I prefer the security and staff that the President offers along with the fact that I have never had anything stolen from my room.

They have their growing pains and some newly added things that I do not cater to (mini bar is a JOKE), the news cafe restaurant and bar is overpriced and laundry service is now too expensive but overall after I check in I feel secure and am satisfied with the maid service.

As for chica attire problems.....shit, I can't get any chicas to go up to my room anyway......no problema.

Just remember this about the Prez: standard rooms with king bed are $56 with the CRT discount. I expanded my July trip, was staying in a spa room at the Prez, decided to switch down to a standard room for the last three nights. At that price so what about the dress code and 1-chica limit? Doesn't bother me. I stayed at the Amon during the Super Bowl period, but prefer the Prez. The Amon doesn't have the Prez's spa rooms and I don't have to check in at the casino first.
