In my life I have been an alcoholic, a drug addict, and womanizer. I learned from that, anything that I do to excess becomes boring. The first high is always that highest.
This quote pulled from above speaks volumes to me. I think part of the issue in mongering is that it can become a lifestyle/addiction that is hard to pull out of. Some are more inclined than others to be totally captivated by it.
I have probably stated my moderate approach to this many times on this board. Mongering to me is like alcohol, recreational drugs, or extreme sports. Its fun to do from time to time or "for a season"...but if done to access or to the point where it is your whole life, I think it loses it's allure and attraction...just like too much alcohol or other substances.
Not all, but I believe MOST mongers on this board are really wanting a real GF...someone who truly loves them for who they are...give/take...all that jazz. And I still believe MOST of the women in the world underneath all the bullshit are wanting the same. Personally I stay in Latin America and now have a committed relationship only because Latinas seem the most qualified and honest in that arena. When you find that...the urge or joy of mongering really disappates quickly...at least it did for me. Its nice to know that women are close by and readily available at a moments notice without worry or moral police following you everywhere. But when you find a true GF...that really become irrelavent, at least for a while.
As for the valuation of economics, security and all that comparing USA to these Latin destinations...that is a call each individual has to make. I cut bait with the USA in late 2001...after getting pretty busted in the tech stock market. While it has not always been easy, I have found you CAN live and do business outside the USA...and I think there are advantages to doing so...especially in the upcoming years when I see the USA going through some financial corrections and globalization catching up to where opportunities may actually be better outside that system. The mantra used to be offshore that if you could live on Pesos, and keep your money and income in dollars, you had the world by the tail. I am afraid the future slogan may be keeping your money in EUROS or Yuans
