On my last visit to CR I dragged along a white noise machine. I have a difficult time sleeping in new surroundings especially if it is DEAD quiet. I stayed at the Villa Tournon where they had individual AC units in each room. The fan provided adequate background noise so I was generally able to sleep pretty well.

I plan to head to CR again in the next 30 days or so and plan to stay at the Presidente. I am wondering if I need to bring along my white noise machine or are there similar AC units that will eliminate these needs.

Thanks for your thoughts

Oh don't worry there will be plenty of white noise at the Pres. including car alarms all night, high heels click-clacking down the tiled halls, noisy K*ds and eco tourists up at 6 AM, drunken gringos and putas talking trash & laughing in the halls at 3 AM, traffic and people yelling on the streets at sunrise, church bells on Sunday, pots and pans banging in the kitchen if you're on the 2nd floor and there's always the moans of sexual ecstasy from the next room sometimes to name a few things you might enjoy while trying to sleep. Sweet dreams! :)

And there is the old man I pay to set out in front from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and play the tuba when I know PacoLoco is in town.

We all have similar problems. I found a couple of shots before bed help :D . Or a tv set.
