And it's almost ball-shaving time for me too! 10 more days! Thanks to the brothers of CRT for converting me. I've gotten so I like the aerodynamic feel now. It makes me feel faster, even if I still perform with intense slowness of before.

I'd rather the girls kept a little though.

OK, after reading this thread I feel like I own it, so here’s another big helping of too much information.

Over the past 4-5 years I have had the luxury of entertaining a variety of ladies on the swinging scene. In the early days I had what looked like a tangled ball of barbed wire concealing the goods. I learned quickly that an overwhelming majority of the promiscuous ladies preferred the completely shaved look. At first I just used hair clippers without the blade and trimmed the little hairs down to about 1/8”. I itched somewhat for a few days but then it was fine after that.

A few months later I decided to take the next step and shave clean. I was surprised at how easy and risk free it was to shave the sack…the backboard was another story. I started out using soap but no shaving cream and all went well during the procedure. I shaved with the grain at first but could not get totally smooth so then I went against the grain. Shortly thereafter my skin erupted with red bumps and I looked like a teenager with bad acne working at the McDonalds deep fryer.

After that I decided to shave with the grain, and that has reduced the irritation. I also started to use shaving cream. My routine was to apply to the shaving cream to my face and the goods, the brush my teeth, the shave my face and by the time I got to the sensitive areas the shaving cream had softened things up and that made for a much better job. Over the years I nicked myself a number of times but only on the backboard. I used to be so careful with the brothers until I came to find that if you are at least a little careful there is less risk of cutting your sack than your face – hard to believe but true.

I’ll insert here that I have pretty light body hair but have more hair on my chest than arms or legs. A few ladies suggested I shave my chest too, which I eventually did, and found the same but reduced problem with the razor burn. I got good responses from the gringas so that made it worthwhile.

I got to a point where body hair started to disgust me. I had some small patches of long hair on my neck and backs of my arms. I am now in the habit of waxing those hairs every few months. It hurt a little but not too much.

At one point I got tired of shaving all the time so I experimented with the Nair down there. BAD IDEA. Sunburned balls are not fun.

After I read this thread last night I thought about what one poster pointed out – that freshly shaved skin is a greenlight to a skin infection…so I decided to go where noone seems to have gone before. I went to Walgreens this morning and bought a fresh body wax kit. My hairs had grown to about ¼” so I felt the timing was right to give the wax a try.

I started with the chest but didn’t get great results. I figured maybe the hair was too short still but the directions said maximum of ¼”…then I saw that you are supposed to pull the strips of AGAINST the grain. What about this seems so much more painful? I went ahead and did as the directions state. I started with the chest. After about 10 minutes of applying the wax, the paper, holding the skin tight then quickly pulling the cloth/wax away and doing a little dance each time, I had about 90% of the hairs gone and I was feeling pretty successful – albeit raw and sore.

Moving south I applied the wax again, pushed the cloth strip in place, rubbed it three times, then stood there holding the skin tight with one hand….I looked in the mirror and wondered if I should do it. You only get about 30 seconds to think about it as the instructions tell you it wont work if you wait longer….so riiiiipp…..I pulled the strip back and it HURT like HELL, but I did manage to remove about ¼ to 1/3 of the hair in that area. I repeated that process on the backboard (if someone wants to tell me he found a way to wax hair off his nuts I think he deserves a medal) a few more times.

Then, going against advice on the board and contrary to what I thought I learned last time I used after shave, I grabbed a container of that classic green aftershave – Walmart brand. I rinsed my hands and let them dripping wet – this is how I use aftershave on my face to dilute it a little…and then I rubbed generous amounts of aftershave on my chest and then – oh no – the boys. If you can imagine “death by drowning in a vat of Vicks Vapor Rub” you’ll know how I felt afterwards. Everything felt fresh and tingly but the boys were in pain. I sat down for about 10 minutes and now, by the time I am finishing this post, I feel fine. The redness is already going down, and the little red bumps on my chest are nearly gone. So my hairs are now less dense…after the first couple of rips you tend to get mechanical and just go forward…the kit did include some skin numbing stuff that maybe I’ll try next time.

I think I’ll try this whole procedure (minus the aftershave) in a day or two. It would be nice to find a way to keep the goods clean without daily care.

I can understand why some guys might think about waxing their chest. What I can't understand is why they'd do it again after experiencing the pain of the first pull. OTOH, as the virgin guy discovered, once you start you can't really stop part way.

In the spirit of contributing to the forum, I decided to take a round #2 of waxing. The next day I went at it again. I may have overheated the wax because I made little progress with regard to the additional pain of day #2. I applied the wax, then the strip, then pulled it quickly and experienced the same pain but with minimal results. As time went by the wax cooled and it worked better but I lost patience pretty quickly.

I decided to take another approach. I went to the local Sally Beauty Supply and after looking around for a few minutes I was approached by a little hottie gringa who asked me if she could help. I told her I was looking for an “Epilady or a similar torture device.” She showed me two epilators and told me that she has used them before and she can take the pain but a lot of people can’t. Feeling I had something to prove, I paid my $25 and bought the cheaper of the two options. This little battery operated device was similar to what looked like an electric shaver. I paid the money and took the device home. I locked the bathroom door and went for it.

The directions said to move across the skin slowly in circular patterns and “if you have never epilated before, the procedure might be somewhat painful.” I hit the switch on the device and put it into action. It really didn’t hurt that much but I found that I had to go hair by hair and really work the epilator in order to make even slow progress. I had hoped that epilating would be intense pain for a short period followed by results of smooth skin…WRONG. I could have made faster progress by pulling hairs one by one with tweezers. (which I tried by the way, and it worked pretty well and with minimal discomfort, but this method is TEDIOUS.)

I think wax is my current method of choice – another five events or so and I think I’ll be smooth as silk. So Phuck the epilator.

Keep the vomit in the backs of your throats, and I will update the board of my progress.

Ok Wax now seems to be the method of choice. I heated the wax per the instructions this time. I applied it and it was very thick - seemingly too thick. I applied the paper strip and then pulled and found I had removed a few dozen hairs for the minimal expense of a short, sharp pain. I think it will take several more events to get all of the hair, but I'm making serious progress now. If you do it right, the wax really isn't that bad a way to go.
