Phuckkkk!!!! You guys are making me nervous! I'm flying out of Ft. Laud Sunday night at 11 pm. I wanted to be in the DelRey picking out my girlfriend for the evening by 12:15 CR time.

I hope the mishaps were simply due to the bad weather from the tropical storm. Well, I'll let you all know how the flight goes tomorrow night.

Well, I can not complain. It was perfect. The flight left on time and was half empty. I had a whole row to myself. I was thru immigration and in a taxi in no time. I like this 11:00 pm flight because the airport was empty. Enough talking to you guys.... I need to go downstairs and see what there is being offered tonight...

Did you sit in one of the BIG FRONT SEATS or the Deluxe Leather seats?

No, just a regular seat. The plain was just empty. A few of those front seats were empty as well. I asked if I could go sit in one, and the guy said no. Didn't really matter since I had the whole row anyways.

With half the seats empty, I don't foresee Spirit lasting more than 3 months on this route. Its a dog eat dog world out there and its tough beating AA, Delta, Taca and etc!! Spirits teaser fares will not last long if planes are not filling up. I'm hoping for the best. Keep us informed how things playout in the future.

From what I have heard (the dreaded word on the street) is that while the red eye flight may be only half full their morning flight from FLL is almost always full.

Think they will be around for a long time if they can get their customer services issued resolved.

My 2 cents

Just flew back on the red eye last night from a non mongering trip with three muchachos and everything worked pefectly. Yes a little late taking off but SJO was a breeze and FLL through immigration and customs a breeze - and all four of us had three seats across to stretch out - all for 199 round trip.

The SJO fog situation is beyond anyone's control. Accept it. Fortunately it wasn't an issue the night we were travelling so lucky me.

Price is right so why not. Already got a trip on miles in July for 28 bucks in taxes. So if I gotta put up with a little BS oh well. Pura Vida!

I just booked what will be my third trip this year on Spirit.

Yes I know this is a low fair airline.

Do I expect champaign service, I dont think so.

People who complain about poor customer service and not enough freebies on a flight, should just go pay three and four times the fair and maybe just maybe you will get a tad better service.

I do not think that billing oneself as a budget carrier allows them to forgo common courtesy and trained personnel.

There is no excuse for rudeness or incompetence. Would you allow a low fare let you accept untrained pilots as well?

I have flown every airline imaginable, to europe, asia, sa, australia, and many places in the us. The service on any of them is about the same. If you are not there to see the rudeness, then who is to say what caused it. I have seen passengers just be plain rude to the cabin staff, would you expect them to return niceness?

YES :!:

That is the essential element in customer service. Do not let the customer drag you down to his level. Not always easy but that is the mark of the professional.

Unfortunately, I left CR today and back to Fort Laud. As on my flight into SJO, I have nothing bad to say about Spirit. The plane was good, staff did a nice job before and during the flight, and we were on time. The one thing I will make light of is that during the time they pass out drinks, you can also buy snacks or liquor. I decided Id go for a tiny container of Pringles. You have to pay by credit card, so I dont ask how much and give her my card. She runs it and gives me a receipt. Friggin 2 dollars. Im talking about 15 - 20 chips. Oh well, wasnt the first time in the past 6 dyas I got suckered by a beautiful woman.
