Of the total number, 53 are women.

A majority of the alien inmates are Nicaraguan, 510, followed by 94 Colombians, 56 Panamanians, 36 Guatemalans, 18 Americans, 15 Salvadorans, and 12 Cubans.

18 actually seems very low to me, given the number of gringos here and the number of scoundrels.

I agree but that number is only those actually sentenced. I think if they added in those being held in "preventative detention" the numbers would escalate.

Many of the scoundrels are wanted for various misdeeds in the US and are extradited without a trial in CR. This also would keep the number low.

Think he got tripped up with the new law! Heard they hauled him out of DR after offering only $20 to a Tica who took great offense and told the policia she was insulted and felt verbally assulted... :shock:
