If i do bring sand to the beach where do you think a good inexspensive hotel to bring them would be in SJ? Does the Sportsman allow hot american chicks? or you think i would be better off at the amon plaza or somewhere like that? I just got tickets today for june 8 through the 15th (For240 bucks you have till midnight) outof miami. I am bringing a girl with me and her male friend. im looking for a place that wont hurt my wallet to much and maybe a place with seperate rooms or cheap small ones )

I have been to CR like 15 times but hardly ever stay in SJ. I am going to do some tourista stuff this trip with just a few trips to the BB and the Delrey. All suggestions welcome
Let the dont bring sand to the beach comments begin

Do I read this correctly that you will be a threesome? Are you planning on one or two rooms? Hard to give a recommendation of a hotel not having that information.

Not sure exactly what type of hotel your looking for but the Best Western San Jose is running 42 bucks a night single occupancy. Gonna be hard to get much cheaper then that.
Everywhere is gringa friendly.

Are you trying to hide the fact that SJ is full of prostitutes? Are you trying to be able to monger a little yourself in your room? Is there any reason you want to be near the gulch?

There was a couple there last year for two nights; not sure how they wound up there. The women pretented to be shocked (she was seeming a bit more interested than she had hoped to show) and the guy was also feigning suprize at all the working girls (but needed a spittoon for all the druel).

Well she knows what I like to do down there. She might even like the girls herself who knows. Im not going to be hiding it or anything.i'm just a bit curious how she will take the place

I have never been to the sportmans club yet and wanted to check it out ill probably stay at the Amon or somewhere for the last 2 nights of my trip. Going to be at a few beaches maybe MA, Hermosa/Jaco then to a volcano or something for touristy stuff.

Given the criteria that you have set out I think your best bet would be the Morazan. Using the coupon in the Tico Times it is $35.00 week nights and $40.00 weekends (both plus tax). It is in the gulch near everything.

Presidente Hotel with CRT VIP Discount IMHO is the best deal in town. Studio Rooms are decent, Standard Rooms are more then enough and the discounts you get on the junior suites and spa rooms are unbeatable anywhere in the gulch. It's a modern hotel, with tile floors (no crunchy carpets) and in the middle of all of the action. Also, breakfast included in the price. I never had any problems with bringing chicas back to the room. In fact, I usually get the thumbs up or thumbs down from the security personnel rating my picks.

I now anticipate a Presidente bashing to take over this thread.

You could put them in the Hemingway and you could set up operations next door in the Castillo.
