Not bitching, just providing info on Amon Plaza's special June rate for CRT members.
I made my reservations thru Nixon for the first week in June. This reservation was made during the month of May priior to the June special being announced. Upon reading of the special $80 rate, I immediately E-mailed Nixon and asked for the $80 Jr. suite special. Nixon responded that the offer was only for new reservations. I thought about cancelling my reservations and then re-booking, hopefully at the lower rate. I then reconsider because the rate Nixon gave me was only $10 a night more, and Nixon was very prompt and efficient in making my reservations. So, for those that made reservations with Nixon prior to yhe month of June, don't expect the lower CRT rate.

Although he was arguably entitled to refuse to give you the lower price, I'm surprised that Nixon took such a hard stance with you on this one. After all, I doubt that any money (or very much money) is coming out of his pocket.

Do you have a link to this hotel site, I am not sure I know where this is located and I tried to google it and did not find anything. I am going to be in CR for the month of June and want to stay in several different places while there. I would like to consider this further. Thanks

I was also surprised because all of our other correspondence was very cordial. No matter, I'll just make it a point to gamble less in Nixon's casino and more at the DR. With my gambling smarts and luck, that will cost him a hell of a lot more than the $10 more a night I will be paying for the room. Even so, $90 a night for a JR suite is still reasonable.
