Have you guys noticed this problem getting out of hand? I think it is worse than ever before. In the past it has been my biggest gripe about US strip clubs , but now I think the places I frequent in CR are even worse. Recently , over the phone I discussed this with another CRT member. We were both wondering how we had spent so much money the last trip and came to the conclusion that we had just bought too many drinks for the girls. Way too many! Girls that were with me and girls who were not. As I reflected back , I could recall one fat chick that is a friend of my favorita , asking me for a drink every single time I saw her. Even twice asked me to buy her food! WTF? To make matters worse... 90% have now become too good for cerveza. They require shots and red Bull concoctions. I have even had several chicas ask me to buy drinks for thier friends. Being put on the spot like that really pisses me off. I don't want to be rude or seem like a jerk, but I'm finding this thing to be very annoying. One night , I actually got up and left KL early and went to bed because I was in such an irritated mood over the non-stop parade of chicas who were suddenly "thirsty". Seriously , two years ago most of the girls seemed almost embarrassed to ask for drinks. Now it rolls off there toungues right after "joo va-ca-sheon?". Sorry for the rant... Just wanted to point out that our generosity at the bar is now being taken advantage of as bad as it is back home.

Totally agree. If a chica I like asks me to buy her a drink, I will usually tell her "yes, I'll buy you an Imperial or similar priced beer....but no exotic drinks."

One of my pet peeves is when you buy a drink for a chica, and the chica asks you to buy her friends a drink as well.....or the chica who you just happened to make eye contact with or who you may have spoke a few words to, asks for a drink.

One evening while I was sitting on the balcony of the NEW YORK BAR, a charming chica by the name of Carla who works at the HORSESHOE happened by. I had been flirting with her off and on and I asked her if she would like to come in for a drink....she did indeed come in, with her three overweight sisters in tow. She told me I had to buy drinks for all of them, or none. :(

In strip clubs, it can add it very fast. I found out the hard way one night at Pantera Rosa. This is embarrassing.

We were there from about 11pm until closing 5am (it was light out). I was on the couch with my fave there and she must've had about 18-20 herself (@$7) and I got suckered into the champagne thing ($70...and the bitch didn't even let me drink any, she drank a whole bottle. ). Then her "friends" (the other hustlers  ) would come over from time to time and sit with us, so I'd buy them a drink. For a while I was buying 2 at a time.

I dropped $270 in drinks alone. I didn't even get laid, but my wallet got phucked.

In the strip clubs, go in, sit down for a few minutes and check out the talent, maybe buy a drink for a grl to test her attitude/personality and go take care of business and leave. You don't want to just walk in and grab the first one you see, but you don't want to sit there buying drinks for 6 hours either.

In DR/BM/KL, Í'd never buy a drink for anybody that I wasn't interested in. If they ask you, just say "NO". Why do you care if it makes you seem like a jerk? If fact, if you just keep buying drinks for them all, they're probably calling you a sucker.

S4DR

  So true! But even the gorditas gotta eat!

I find myself confronting the same issue, and its often from girls that have no chance of doing business with you. I usually hit them with a "Yo espero en mi novia" and that gets rid of them in most cases. And if they want to push the issue a simple "No" and a direct look in the eye moves them on.

And then there are the girls that you know and are "friends" with. When they hit me up I usually buy but they will owe me 20 minutes of attention or its the last one. One time I bought a chica in this category a drink and she walked off to work - hope she enjoyed her absolut and cranberry as its her last...

This has been happening since way back when in the likes of places like DR, KL and PR (notorious for this kind of action), but admittedly, it sounds like it is much more rampant of a problem now than ever.

Here's a asshole-ish way to counter this issue, which seemed to work for me. When asked for a drink from someone I wasn't working on or didn't even know, I'd answer with, "Sure, if you're willing to give me a free blowjob."

Some of you may think this to be too hardcore or rude, but you gotta believe me when I say that you're much better off being perceived as a hard-ass or asshole than a sucker or jerk-off among the sharks (kittens). Those kind of chicks actually lose respect for guys that are seen as too soft or as push-overs. And with the chica-network at it's best form, they ALL know if you're a sucker within 2 minutes of you walking into the establishment.

Probably why it's that same goober who gets asked for a drink again and again and again by a plethora of chicks he doesn't even know. If you nip it in the bud from the get-go, they will all know quickly not to bother you anymore.

I used to be friends with a girl who was a cocktail waitress at a strip club. She told me something very interesting...

When a customer would order a round for himself and her, the bartenders and the cocktail waitresses used code language indicating that one drink was for her and one for a customer (unless they were both at the bar at the time, in which case it'd be obvious that they each ordered a drink). Anyway, the bartenders had bottles behind the bar that contained, for example, apple juice instead of Jack Daniels. A different colored non-alcoholic fluid was substituted for the real thing in the bottles used for drinks for the strippers and cocktail waitresses. Of course, the guys had no idea that they were getting the real thing while the girls were getting apple juice, sprite, etc. This way, the club made $$ off the drinks and the working women remained sober even though the guys thought they were getting them drunk. Something to think about, even though it might be slightly off the topic.

In PR, the girl drinks are way watered down. I know one girl who drinks about 30 "vodkas" nightly. If they were the real thing, she be dead or in need of a liver transplant in 3 months.

Glad somebody brought this up. Last month at BM happy hr. I met a chica aquaintance of a resident member, think he had bought her a drink and maybe a pack of smokes before she wandered off. Well she comes back later on kinda tipsy, talking much louder and bragging that some nice gringos had been buying her drinks and she now had 3 packs of smokes in her purse, so YES some chicas are definitely hustlers abusing the gringo generosity, don't be a sucker. If they ask I usually say no, if they're nice and I'm interested I usually offer, simple as that. Another thing I noticed last trip at the HDR is chicas actually asking for cash to play the slots, they must be joking.

Other than somebody you want to buy a drink for, hell no.

You older guys remeber Lucy at the DR, older skinny bleach blonde that had been there 4ever with way too much sun? She's in the US but she was a reg for years.

She was that way, and then would order top shelf double brandy.

Knew her a long time but that eventually ended our "hey papi's."

Drinks are probably the primary "auxiliary expense" that's easiest to lose control of down there. On those extended nights out late with favoritas, I sometimes find that I've spent more plata on drinks than I ended up spending on the sex.

One way I'm dealing with this now is to sometimes bring the bottles that I've bought at duty free at the airport out to the bar with me, particularly at Sportsmens and sometimes at Zona. Fortunately, no one's ever hassled me about it. Or, you can just order glasses of mixers at the bar and ask the girls to come back to your room for the alcohol.

on my first trip to the delray i got caught at the bar ...and was buying way to many drinks for the girls , girls friends ....as i drink cheap beer and some of their drinks were twice my price....i found the tute table where i can drink for free, still look at the girls (without buying drinks ) lots of girls pay the game also and will sit next to you and "play pull the pecker game" with you ..and they to drink for free...i even had a girl who wanted 80.00 to go to the room...she was out of money ....losing as most people who play this game...i offered 40.00 told her i was staying at the morzan and i was quick to leche ...she took it and off we went ...20 mins later we are back in the delray....40.00 was the deal ....ok sex but about a hour later she is begging for 20.00 "where is my tip" as one would think ..no more tute for me that nite ...but really its a fun game and you can keep away from the drink beggers....

YO Drink Hustlers:

Damn, old Circus has to dance or clean rooms for free drinks. Doesn't matter what I wear. Yea, yea....there are a few CRT'ers who will buy me a drink but it's getting scarce. I guess next time in CR I'll have to shine shoes or wash your clothes.....Lord forbid.

Come to think of it.....the "Send Circus to CR Fund" has now qualified for food coupons. Pitiful is as pitiful does.
