Hey CRT'ers , newbie here. I'm trying to get Interbus to drop me off at Hotel Zona Blue from airport. They said they will not drop anyone off at bar, only to a hotel. This will be my first trip and need to know which hotel is close to ZB, so I can get dropped off and walk there. Is Clarion hotel close by? thanks for any help. BTW I will be there 3/24 to 3/31 with wingman.

Yes Clarion (Amon Plaza) is one block away from ZB. However tell Interbus that ZB is a hotel and you will be happy to show them your hotel room when they drop you off. Tell them you will make them a deal, if it is a hotel you ride for free. If it is not a hotel you will pay them double the fare. Still cheaper than a taxi even if you lose

Thanks for the info. I think I will just take the taxi, since there will be two of us I think it comes out about the same. However, I will use interbus in the future.
I think I will arrive early sat. morning around 7:30 will there be a problem getting a taxi? Thanks again

The taxi company knows the arrival time of every flight even if it so delayed that is is not even close to schedule and they plan accordingly. You can arrive anytime and taxis will be available.

Well apparently that's not quite true, tried to book 56 hrs. in advance and the website only showed dates 3 days out :? Maybe they'll get back to me and hook me up. I see Grayline has an airport express shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from the airport for 10.00, might be worthwhile depending on the timing and # of stops.

I used Interbus again to get from the airport to HDR yesterday, 4-27. Came out of customs at 11 am, was in van by 11:10 and at the hotel by 11:45, all for $6. Maybe I was just lucky but I was the only one picked up. Will use them again next time.

Arrived 4/10 @ 2:15, name on an erasure board along with 3 other names, we waited some 20 mins. other guests didn't show off to the hotel.

This company reminds me of, Super Shuttle out of DFW, the only potential issue may be other guests and where you fall in order of drop off.

For the Calidudes/RBC100's of the board. While riding the bus system to the various towns, I noticed that we stopped in front of the airport everyday when coming back into town from the north, let's see that savings should equal a short session at one of RBC'S favorites :P

My flights into SJO are typically an hour late, plus the time it takes to get thru immigration. I assume Interbus is always at the airport and u just grab the next available one?

I do not think that Interbus always has a vehicle at the airport. My understanding is that they pick up only when someone has made a reservation. They most likely take into account the processing time for immigration and customs but a delayed flight is another matter. Best to check it out when you make the reservation.

They will wait up to 1 hour after your flight has landed, even if it is late. They probably check flight status prior to going to pick you up, so no need to worry.

When I flew in they had an attendant waiting and he was calling the vans. I had to wait about 30 minutes, no prob for $6 bucks. Don't know if you can just jump on board, I pre booked.
