How does orthodics even resemble braces?

Orthodics are for your feet in case you missed the last 1000 years

They are inserts for your feet. They take a cast.
Simple process done by podiatrist

Well, I could probably use an orthodic insert for my mouth to protect my orthodontics considering how many times I've stuck my foot in my mouth over the years. :D I could probably use a cup, too, for all the times I've stepped on my d*ck as well. In case you're not familiar with the type of cup I'm referring to, its the insert that goes in a jock strap. On cold days I use the youth size!

I'm flying in to CR on May 3rd and meeting up with five other buddies and I can barely contain myself! I rendevous with my wingmen at the BM at 3PM and then the games will begin!

Don't even think about it here in C.R. I have worn them for 25 years, first leather, then molded plastic made by a doctor...and they all sucked.(all from the states)

The ones I have now are a hard rubber, sold by a chain operated in the states, the company that advertises in an infomercial.....I have the receipt somewhere. The current ones I bought from them have lasted over 9 years. They are unbreakable, unlike the molded plastic. You go into the store and walk out with the model you need. I payed about $260 I think. After all the others that I used they were a bargain.

Truly one of the best products I have ever used.

Actually, its quite easy to understand how someone might think you meant Orthodontics, since you misspelled the word. The word for the devices used for one's feet is OrthoTics (with a T not a D) and probably derives from the same latin root as for orthodontics, orthopedics, etc. (to brace, straighten, set right etc.?). Orthotic is basically just a fancy name for arch supports. If your feet are really messed up (I'm talking 4F, for those that remember the draft), I suppose I could see paying $260 for a pair. Most people just go for the Dr. Scholl's.

Are you gellin'? Like a melon!
