My friends and I are planning our first trip to CR in early May. We booked the Court Yard Marriott. Will we having trouble bringing home Ticas?

I, too, am interested in hearing more about the Courtyard Marriott as a SJ base. I'm planning a buddy's 40th B-day and, as a result, the attendees have all different priorites (i.e. some want chicas, others interested in eco-tourism, all interested in gambling). My understanding is that the Courtyard is chica friendly with no chica fee (correct?). My question is, how willing will the chicas be to travel that far from the gultch? I have also heard that the pool is open 24/7. Has anyone done any skinny-dipping late night with their favorita? Is daytime mongering okay? It would be fun to have lunch with a Tica at the nearby Mall then go for a swim.

Any information on experiences bringing chicas back to the Courtyard will be much appreciated.

Lance

Thanks for the quick response Silencioso.

I actually saw those threads before I posted, but decided to ask my questions anyway given that the threads are 2 years old and we all know how things (especially hotel's chica policies) change in CR.

Any more recent experiences with the Courtyard will be much appreciated.

i have stayed there several times in 2006,
saw ivannia at the hooters there (hdr bartender in early 2006, with braces, kind of a wild one)

book online at the regular rate, then call asking for a corporate rate for HP, try Intel if you are staying at the Intercontinental
(there was an HP function at the Courtyard, and an Intel event at the IC when I was there last)

if they ask for an ID, look for it, then say you left it at home,

Most chicas dont have a problem going over to Escazu. I have an apt behind the mall. The "i think my shit dont stink pros" will try to charge you double, move on. No trouble as far as distance.

Facility is nice, typical Marriott rooms, large king beds. No problems in bringing Chica's over. Upon checkin, if your coming alone (I did), just say you have a guest staying with you.

Security gated with guard, safe neighbourhood. I was told this area is predominantly occupied by doctors, lawyers, etc. I would recommend staying here, but its a bit of a distance between Delrey and hotel.

Paid $112 for room, with breakfast. Hope that helps! I am checking out tommorow.

Bugsy'd got it right. The Courtyard is chica-friendly (the front desk asks for ID, but it's for your protection). No charge for a guest.

Escazu is a $10 taxi ride from the Gulch, but adjacent to the hotel is Itakzu Plaza, which has some excellent restaurants as well as the San Jose Hooters.

I have stayed there five different occasions; it's Marriott service and quality that you would expect in the US. One hint: if you phone a chica to meet you there, make sure she understands to go to the Courtyard and not the SJ Marriott!
