Anybody else ever stay at this white house place?

Have never stayed there. Have had lunch there a number of times and while the food is good it is very pricey.

Place is first class no doubt about that and if the price and the out of the way location do not bother you I guess it is a good place to stay. I should mention anytime I have ever eaten there the place appeared deserted of hotel guests. They might have been out and about but it seemed like there was no one staying there.

IMHO, the Executive Suite at Casa Vino is by far the best value of higher end suites in the Gulch. The proximity to Hotel Amon and Zona Blue cannot be beat. It is like having your own apartment.

Great find! $50 for a standard room is a great value as well!

Hard to believe anything like The White House exists in SJO. It looks extremely nice.

Rode by the White house the other day, pretty impressive they even have their own helipad & casino. But further up the mountain we saw a 25,000 sq. ft. personal casa- must be nice!

My wingman and I stopped into the White House last month. It is quite impressive. They also rent Harley's there, but they're not cheap. I bought a nice button-down shirt, and my wingman bought a few Harley t-shirts for souvenirs. The view from the outside courtyard and patio is awesome, and they even have the big binoculars outside, for tourists to get a nice view of the valley.

The dining room and bar area are very "foo-foo", with prices to match. To get there, you have to drive all the way up the side of the mountain in San Antonio de Escazu, but it's pretty cool. Next time, I'll just take my chopper, and land on the heli-pad. Much more convenient! :o

Have had some very good food there. Am a little worried since they changed their advertisement in the Tico Times. Use to say USDA Beef now it says USDA and selected local beef. The prices reflected imported beef if they are using local beef now they are way out of line.
