It's their spring sale to Central America. Base fare is $439, which is suspect is killer from Chicago.

Thanks for the update. In mid-Janaury, I had to pay about $650 round-trip from Chicago to San Jose. This is one reason why I spend much more time doing Mexican whores in Tijuana since the round-trip flight Chicago to San Diego is usually only $160 on United or Southwest.

Chicago mongers need to demand cheaper service to San Jose.
