WASH/REAGAN to SJO....$506 R/T TOTAL.
This is the best fare I've seen in awhile. Most of the other airlines are around $650. I found this fare in the June/July time frame.

Anybody have any more info on Spirit's proposed landing permit for San Jose? Could it be a risk to purchase a fare on Spirit?

Yes, this is the best deal out there at the moment. I flew from DCA to SJO last August for $252 RT all taxes included. Let's hope those fares come back again.....

UPDATE: I called SPIRIT AIRLINES this morning to try to find out the status of the landing permit for SPIRIT at SJO. All the gentleman could tell me was that they are scheduled to start landing in SJO the first week of April. :) He said they are selling a lot of fares to SJO.

So, essentially, I don't know any more than I did before I called. :? :(

I'm thinking I'm going to go ahead and order a reservation. I suppose if I pay by credit card, and the deal did fall through.....the card company would help me ??? :?

Just make sure you get the travel insurance, then for sure you will be covered, but I am sure they will get the landing permits. They would be idiots to deny a major US carrier from landing with 100+ money spending gringo tourists on every flight.

I have reservations for may 19th

Travel insurance $13. It will show up on your credit card bill with the name of the insurance co.
