I tried one of those sites one time and even joined for a few months. I thought I had met a few of potential "friends" who I might be able to hook up with. However, as my attempts to arrange a meeting became more serious, the responses became more vague and then another "friend" would come on stronger. Long story short, after several redirected attempts and sudden "where have you been, let's start talking again", I realized the site was just playing me and making money on my continued membership. Even if there were any serious female members in the site, they probably got jerked around, too. I should have realized the scam after seeing some of the same faces with different names on other categories within the site. The good thing was I never spent any money on anybody or got suckered into anything more than just wasting a couple of hours a week writing a non-existent person.

YO Web Scammers:

Yep! I've scammed a little with the best of them but not for dinero.

Old Circus knows a lot about the internet dating scene and some of the other potential scams lurking around the web. In the begining of my internet days I was victum to a few. After a couple of years playing around with internet dating I did an experiment on three separate sites. Yeah, I had to cough up two month's membership on each site to do this experiment. I later did another one similiar which I believe I posted about on this site.

I posted two profiles on each site using similiar photos of myself but diffenent enough not to catch immediate attention that it was the same person. One had a beard and the other without to help differ the appearance. The following is close to what the criteria was although difficult to remember exactly....it's been a few years.

Profile # 1 (without beard) listed me as 6', 185 lbs, 51yrs. old, athletic, divorced, college grad, self employed truck driver and of course an interesting bio. Profile # 2 (with beard) was 5'11", 215 lbs, 59 yrs old, average build (yea right), Phd - physician and bio which included the arts, traveled alot, waterfront home and loved classical music.

Profile # 1 got some hits but nada from real attractive women, especially under 50 yrs old.....most were older and fatter although 2 or 3 would be okay for a "damn I'm hard up and need to stick my pecker in something," one night stand. There were a couple of biker chicks early 40's but hell, they would have probably beat the shit out of me. Then there was Mort....yea, some gay blade looking for a deisel demon.

Profile # 2 received hits from all over the U.S. and other countries. Yea, there were older women among them but I was amazed at the response from several hotties as young as late twenties but most hot ones were mid 30's to mid 40's. Of course there were the web cam girls trying to make a buck also in the mix. Hell, I had a difficult time responding to them.

Profile # 1 met a few local ladies for drinks or lunch but none of them turned me on and old Circus probably repulsed them as well. Profile # 2 had a difficult time evading invatations from them wanting to fly or drive to the Pits of Jax to meet me. Yea, I could just see the look on their face when they got out of their taxi or car and saw my run down double wide next to the City dump with my old truck on blocks in the front yard. "Priceless," you think?

Even as much as old Circus has acted a lot of parts and has been all over this crazy world I felt a bit of guilt at the end. Not to mention the torture of not being able to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Damn! There were some serious fox women to be had there. I would have killed to have been able to pull it off further but my guilt caught up with me and I layed to rest profile # 2. As a courtesy I contacted most of the ladies that had corresponded with me and told them that I had become engaged and was off the market.

Hell, would not have worked out anyway. Once they saw this deplorable body and 2" pecker they would have upchucked......except for the real gold diggers and I'm sure they were lurking out there.

I even got several inquireies from men. Geezzzzz, That's all I needed for my ego.

It does show the mindset of gringa bitchitas but then again the majority of women anywhere on this globe would not be exempt from seeking dollar signs or security.

I have no shame apparently. I'm just pitiful. Just ask my cat, Shitass.

I talked with a few Russians last year through Amigos.com.

Nothing much came of it and thankfully I was a sceptic.
after two months the many diffrent Russian contacts had a pattern to them, all in all too good to be true.

If you are in doubt sit back , take some time and look for the similarities
in the messages and photos.

And yes as soon as my subscription ran out I get a few extra messages
my guess to urge me to reactivate my membership and spend more money.
