Me and my wingman have travelled all over Asian (Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Phillipines). This will be our first trip to Latin America. We are arriving in Costa Rica on 2/21 and leaving on 2/27. We plan on spending 2 nights in San Jose (Bullfights and Chicas) , 3 nights on a beach (SCUBA, Fishing and Chicas). We hope to get to spend one day going over into Panama or Nicaragua. (Just to say we did) We are looking for suggestions as places to stay and see. I have read hundreds of post already and still feel like I need a little more advice.

If it is your first time ever to CR, I would suggest Hotel Del Rey. If you are only in town for a few days, just stay there, enjoy the BM bar, hit the local MP, most are within walking distance (DO NOT WALK AT NIGHT). IMHO, the best place to stay is the Sportsmans Lodge. My first couple of trips i stayed at HDR, but the SL has a much more laid back feel to it. BUT, 1st time, Hotel Del Rey. Also, one piece of advice, when the girls ask you if this is your first time in costa rica, tell them "NO, I have been here many times", otherwise, they will eat you alive.

I agree with February. The DR will leave a lasting impression. You will probably cancel the bullfights. :)

I'd say IMO a little much for a first timer trip. I said I was gonna hit the beach my first time as well. My tootsies have not touched the sand yet. I prefer to take day trips out of the gulch instead.

The first replies have it right. It's a vacation and you might be doing a bit much. I would also stay at the Del Rey or somewhere within a few blocks. I am currently at the Presidente and have always enjoyed it...not all do. Visit the massage parlors particularly New Fantasy and Idem during the day and hit Del Rey and Key Largo at night. Also check out RBC100's list of massage parlors and clubs. It's a classic.

Just a caveat though. I just spent last November in Thailand and Cambodia and it's a bit more expensive here. The young ladies are very partial to short time.

I am doing an overnight to Arenal Volcano for hot springs and getting a break from the partying. Jaco is a nice option in that it is close and it has women available.

Lots of options though and your plan is certainly a good one.
Safe travels.

With only 6 days you are going to have a hard time going all the places you have planned. I have been all over but hard on a short trip. Costa Rica is not large but takes far longer to get someplace than one would think. You may want to stay in San Jose and take some day tours that many hotels offer if you want to really experince the chicas. If you are a little adventurous explore some of the local places I have mentioned in my MP list or focus on places like Zona Blue and New Fantasy in the day and Idem afternoon and evenings. Have fun.rbc100

We tried to book at HDR and SL and both were booked for the days we will be in country. We booked a night at Hotel Nuevo Johnson and one at a Cigar Hotel (cant remember name - I am on wrong laptop) We usually stay really busy when we are on vacation. Are there any good places with chicas and a beach?

Jaco

Punta Anous (SP?) has a nice beach, but I personally never saw a working girl around. The nicest place IMO is Turtle Island, but you must bring your own girl. Have fun and be safe!

Agree, Jaco poor beaches but they are beaches. Beatle Bar in Jaco full of working girls. Sometimes world class fishing nearby.
