Well RT, as I've said in previous threads, I think this could be the biggest mistake of your life! That being said go for it. you are only young once any mistakes you make can be overcome. You also dont want to spend the rest of your life wondering what if. I still think it is foolish but follow your heart while you're young

RT... after reflecting on it I still think it's kinda funny but if I were you, & in your shoes, I'd go for it anyway. You're only young once and as Olney said, you'll always wonder if you don't.

The problem is all that serotonin and those endorphins swish around your brain while there, and then you come back to the States. No more "happy" brain chemicals. It's cold turkey, bro. And the longer you're there, the worse the withdrawl. I about died after that glorious sh*t for 7 months. And it wasn't just mental. There was hardcore physical withdrawl, a kind I never experienced because I was never addicted to heroine. It felt like a truck ran me over. Everything hurt, and my nervous system was deeply involved. My brother's a psychologist and said I was experiencing, "situational depression."

So we look to how we can go south. But you do get used to living with all that ass, so it's not the kick the first couple months are. Don't think if you go a year, the level of thrill and contentedness will remain constant. But it will always top whatever you've got here. At least in Miami with tons of girls, many European and Latina, eventually you hook up. I can't imagine going back to some small town in Iowa. I'd come apart.

Good luck whatever your decision.

I totally agree. I've heard a really good salary there is $10K/yr.

if possible set up your own consulting operation in the U.S. and transit back and forth between U.S. and the C.R. like I'm trying to do soon. Lot's of accounting work is outsourced to the C.R.
