As usual here in CR,it all depends on who is paying off whom. Sometimes it's difficult keeping track of all the corrupt politicians without a scorecard.

Here in San Jose tonight I was just sorta staring at the local news on channel 6; wtf here is Hotel Del Rey Big as Life – quite a story for a few minutes. They were talking about the proposed bridge/puente. I am fluent enough in Spanish to get at least half of it and none of it seemed positive. Hahaha they said it was a place to find sex from $20 to $200 lol they did not show the $20 ones but did show some photos of chicas of about the $40 range.

During all this a succession of overweight Gringa wanna-be regulators are bashing this project to no end and showing photos of the steel built schools ect. The way they presented it, it did look like a kinda stupid idea and bodes ill for the project.

How many times have I crossed that street I couldn’t count but never has bothered me that much. You have to deal with all of the phuckheads, wait for the light and then assume nobody pays attention to the light, but other than that…

I almost posted this under the “More Exposure” thread. No I am not into dredging up old shit but it looks like the proposal is anything but dead

There was an article in the Tico Times last Friday that reported the veto of mayor Araya of the approval for the bridge, granted by the municipal council, has been upheld by the court.

The bridge between the HDR and KL will not be built.

If they want to spend some money, put some cops on the side of the street with the New York Bar and have them clean that area up. I've walked by crackhouses and felt safer. :(

The money was not coming from the municipality. The bridge was to financed by the HDR/KL.

Do you thing people will go up stairs to cross a bridge and then walk down on the other side? I see 95% people still walking across the street and not using the bridge.

Why not try to get the street closed between the two place after rush hour, say 7 pm to 5 am. Then get with the Mayor and the Cheif of Police, get them to agree to allow security guards to keep the un-wanted off the street between both places.

I had talked to Greg when this first came out, and he said that they really did not want the actual bridge, but was more interested in getting some other permits that this bridge was a part of...I didn't have a chance to get into any further discussion with him on it, as I was distracted by chimba

Guess they wouldn't consider remodeling some of their run down rooms instead :?:
