I have booked El Gallo Tours & Transportation, a CRT discount sponsor. Has anyone else used them, have positive or problems with them. They will be doing a fair ammount of driving for us.

I have used Alex on many occasions and he is very prompt, english speaking and a really nice guy.

His prices are not always the least expensive even with the discounts, but he has a 1st rate van, and I like the comfort of a english speaking guy especially traveling down to the coast etc...

Only had one problem with him about 2 years ago, I booked him to pick me up at the airport, Something I do not do with anyone any more. He shows up timely then explains he also booked 3 other CRT Guys from my flight so we would all be going together. Well, I have no problem with that, other than when we get there all going to the Presidente, he proceeds to want to charge me full pick up rate as well as his other party of 3 full rate.. Me $15.00 for pick up and his party of 3 ($20.00) Now I'm not cheap anyone who knows me, but that is something you just don't do sorry. I very politely explained my position, and and paid him, even though I was pissed. off.

Sure enough he called me a few days later apologized and offered me a ride back to the airport free of charge and subsequently through the years has provided very decent service for me & many of my friends. Sometimes it is how you resolve a complaint that makes the difference.

Thanks, I have noticed there are less expensive drivers, but I like the idea he is CRT friendly.

I have used Alex and our group of guys have used him for the past 6 trips or so and will always use him for our trips to Jaco and back, airport, etc..Once when he thought it might rain in San Jose, he brought along a second driver and van to Jaco so our luggage would not get wet. He did not charge us for that 2nd van or driver. He's very reliable. Wile Coyote
