Any statistician can define 'normal' mathematically. Normal to them means the statistical average or the statistical mean. It doesn't mean 'healthy' or 'okay' or 'sane' or anything other than what can be quantified.
So if they say I should have had 3.6 partners by the age of 20, I am not abnormal if I had more or had less. If I had exactly 3.6 partners, I would consider myself abnormal, since few of us get to have sex with midgets (how else can you have sex with .6 person?)
