Your family physician is a great source for "sample" packs of both Viagra and Cialis. The V comes in 50mg with six individual pills packed on a "punch through" card. The Cialis comes 4 to a small bottle.

I stop by my docs office and he ususally gives me 6 pacs of V (36 pills) and six of C (24 pills) and I'm on my merry way. I haven't bought them ever, I just keep tapping the well.

BTW, Levitra is the same thing as eating an M & M. It just doen't work. Don't waste your time with that drug.

The real potent drug is a shot of 100-200mg of pure testosterone when you land in CR. Most larger pharmacies can inject you immediately. Check with your local physician about your individual risk for that injection prior to getting one. Mine said no problem as long as I only did it for a month or so. One inj. lasts 14 days.

pura vida,
El Gamin

Different things work better for different people, Levitra works great for me and it's all I use (when needed.)

And to add to your point about checking with your doctor about testosterone shots...
Quote:
For those who suffer from low testosterone, artificially (through hormone replacement therapy, hrt) increasing the amount of testosterone in the body can be marked with many positive benefits. These benefits are associated with the positive side of testosterone: increase in testosterone libido, greater sense of well-being, an increase in lean body mass and a decrease in body fat.

However, along with these potential benefits come risks: testosterone side effects. These side effects are possible since, with hrt, you're artificially "adding" testosterone instead helping the body to naturally produce more testosterone.

Imbalances in testosterone can lead to the following testosterone side effects:

Increased Hair Loss (for those who suffer from alopecia)
Increase risk of prostate, liver and kidney cancer
High Blood pressure
Acne
Breast formation in men
Testicle reduction
Mood swings
Aggressive behavior
Trouble Sleeping

HRT should only be undertaken with a doctors close supervision!!!

I have a female friend who works in the fragrance department of an upscale department store (a la Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor, Marshall Field... you get the idea). Behind the counter, they keep hundreds of tiny sample sized vials of EXPENSIVE designer perfumes... which they give away with hopes that someone with more money than sense will buy the full-sized, $80 bottle.

Before my last trip, I told her of the dozens of impoverished young ladies with K*ds, waiting tables to put rice on the table... all of whom LOVE American "luxury" branded items. She then proceeds to hand me 20+ of these tiny sample packets (which weigh next to nothing and take up about 3 square inches of luggage space).

Within hours of my arrival at the SL, I'd made friends (as the result of presenting these small free-to-me gifts) with nearly every female employee (and working girl) in sight.

My hunch is that anyone who can "talk a good game" about an upcoming visit to an impoverished country could walk away with a handful of these samples. The stores are NOT allowed to sell them. They must be given away. So why not give them to a good-hearted monger?

This idea worked so well for me that I almost hate sharing it. But I guess that's what this board's about, huh?

macmasher out (for now)

TexJoe,
You might want to carry a copy of your passport, too, just in case.

I agree, one of those laminated copies of the first page of the passport and of the entry stamp would be wise to carry.
Along with a small digital camera for those special memories.

I have made several trips to CR. .....and I am really not a 'CR Virgin'
.
I have also bought Viagra at several drugstores - farmamcias in San Jose, Jaco Beach, Puntarenas, & Quepos, and have found it to be around $ 1.75 per 50 mg dose......if you shop around for a good price.

The pills I have gotten are the generic brand called "Sildenafil Calox" which comes in a 4 pack (4 x 50 mg pills) and also includes another duplicate box of another 4 pills (this is a 2 for 1 spercial= total of 8 each - 50 mg pills for the price of 6,760 colones.

That comes to $ 1.69 per (50mg) pill (the usual dose).....so guys if you are paying much more than that....then my humble suggestion is that perhaps you are paying too much.

I have also purchased these same pills in individual packets - 1 pill per packet for perhaps around $ 2.00 each in San Jose drugstores. The multiple pill deal is of course more econominical.

I am 61 years young, and have a somewhat enlarged prostrate, and probably some ED too......I have had good relusts with these Vitiman V's ..... sure seem to help out when you need them.

I can not remember exactly which farmicia this box came from (and I have it here now with me) but it should be similarly priced at most of the pharmacies that you come across in CR.

Cialas and Levitera (sp) are much higher priced, but of course last much longer. I usually don't want to pay the higher price so have stayed with the generic Viagra up until now.
I may try some of the C. & L. on my next trip in a couple of weeks....just to see the difference in the effects of each type of medication. 8) Steve

I would add Benadryl to the list of meds. Small, easy to carry, wont break in travel. Besides allergies, will also knock out itching from bugs, rash, whatever.
