Hey...thanks to a fellow CRTer for the info on Pingo for LD call to CR. I get like 6 real hours of calls for $20. Its a great way to stay in contact and practice my espanol.....

Now I just need a reverse option from CR to the USA.....

If you have a high speed computer you can buy a Vonage phone and hook it up. It will then cost you $24.95/month for unlimited calling anywhere in the US or Canada from CR.

from C.R. I have been using Crystalvoice for six years...about$1.80 per hour. I use it because it works the best..period. Vonage is good to if you make a bunch of calls...that V.B. does know his stuff!

Vonage is great and almost everyone I know who lives in Costa Rica and has cable broadband uses it. In the complex I live we have a Florida line, a New Jersey line, a Mississippi line, an Oregon line and a Washington line.

Unless you make a lot of calls you do not need the unlimited plan. You can get the 500 minute plan for $14.95 per month. Since there is no charge for incoming calls or calls to toll free numbers 500 minutes is way more then most people will use.

Yeah, Pingo is good. I hope you mentioned the CRT guy so he gets the free minutes.
