I know of two working girls who told me of custody problems due to their profession. Neither one was working me for money or anything else as far as I know.
It is very possible both girls were being honest and not seeking money but rather just using a convenient "shoulder to cry on".
The problem is that those who are seeking to scam gringos for some money soon pick up on these real life situations and try and use them for financial leverage
I had one chica tell me how her mother was trying to get custody of her daughter because she was working as a prostitute. Naturally she needed a hundred dollars so she could see a lawyer in the morning to prevent this from happening.
Fortunately I did not buy the story and a few months later met her sister who related how she, her sister, sisters daughter and mother were all sharing a house. The mother took care of her granddaughter while the two sisters plied their trade at the BM.
