Gentlemen,
I am grateful for the information contained here in the forums but, I feel that Jaco has gotten somewhat of a not so good review by some of the members that I feel is totally off base.
I was in Jaco for 5 days last week and in San Jose for 2. Yes, Jaco is still very hot and humid, almost unbearable at times during the day. We affectionally refer to it as Jaco Hell as do the local transplants. I had not been there in a while and was doing some homework in the forums before I left and had very low expectations before heading down. I was pleasantly surprised to find what I feel were better quality chicas in Jaco than San Jose. Looks wise, IMHO, the percentages of extremely hot chicas was higher there than SJ. Any of you brave enough to put up with the heat and humidity during the day, I believe will be pleasantly surprised by the Nightlife there if you have not been in a while.
Just my opinion.

I have always believed in "Experience it for yourself" kinda attitude. If you had a good time, then good for you.

Agree - I've had a great time in Jaco both times I've been there. I like the beach ambience and proximity to San Jose, and though the chicas tend to stick to their "cien" mantra with a little more tenacity than Del Rey chicas, average quality in the Beatle Bar is better, and I much prefer the ambience as well.

I agree with you outrigger that Jaco often gets a bad rap. The heat probably has a lot to do with it.

I spend my days fishing offhsore, evenings eating fresh catch at the Copacabana, drinking Ron Zacpa rum and finding a little debutant at the BB. Usually a round of golf at Los Suenos the morning after my last night in Jaco and then off to the Gulch.

Don't know if I would enjoy "just hanging out" in Jaco.

Stayed at Best Western which wasn't too bad and although they do have a strict no-chica policy, had no trouble at all finding really reasonable rates at local hotels to monger in. Heck, it was actually kind of nice being there even in the absence of loud drunken mongerers coming and going at all hours and partying at the bar with rented new found friends.
Did most all of the trolling at the Beatle Bar and actually found 2 hot chica's, who are actually roommates, and ended up at their place all night on one ocassion.
Other than that, the fishing was marginal but not bad, and the mountains still appeal to my sense of adventure.

Outrigger posted regarding the quality lately in Jaco and got zero responce. Thanks will be down Jan 26th for a month. I surf so the whole SJ gulth kinda bores me in a day or two. Jaco has served me well in the past as a jump off spot for surfing-mongering purposes.......I have had great luck there last winter had a light skinned Dominacano tall skinny super model looks!!!! Found her at the BB she hung with me for three days going to beach over at hermosa to surf with me and three good shots a day!!!!!!I paid her like $100 a day and we ate togeather real cool GFE....Was going to take her to Nosara with me but time to move on very nice girl lota fun....I think Jaco is under rated at times....

Maybe you'll run into him again this trip.

Definitely no day time action so far this year. I go down to the beach and check the waves several times a day and haven't seen any decent working girls there. Last season, afternoon could be good. Not a big crowd in town this weekend.

Quality is in the eyes of the beholder. One mans 10 may be anothers zero.

Shit, I haven't seen more than a 3 in Jaco since season began. Somebody, please, point out these hotties to me..

I disagree. A 9 is hot in anyone's book. A variation of only a 1 point is normal. I.E. your 9 is my 8, etc.
