I just reserved two rooms at the Copa in Jaco for my February trip. Barbara quoted a rate of $109.00 instead of the $99 I've seen listed here on CRT and on their website. I asked her about the CRT discount and she said I would "have to speak to the manager at the hotel about that".

I understand that February is the high season but I wish they would make their rate hike known on their website. Also, I'm hoping there won't be an issue regarding the discount when I actually show up at the hotel.

you probably missed it...but it has been notated numerous times on this board to book directly with the hotel related to CRT discounts and chica fees. Barbara has nothing to do with that stuff. It is basically given at the hotel direct. Of course, if they are not honoring the CRT promotion, let admin know. Historically during high season the rates are not discounted, but the chica fees are overlooked for CRTers.

Azcentral is right. Canciones del Mar is a much nicer place and in my opinion a much better value.
