HOTEL PARK - PRIVATE PARTY NOVEMBER 7TH

I went with my girl friend over to the Bancocredito near Parque Central this morning. While she was taking care of some business at the bank, I walked down the street to check out Hotel Park. It had a new coat a paint and a sign advertising buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The space that used to be the bar is now a cosmetics shop. I walked inside the hotel and found the hallway had a new coat of paint. I walked back to the new reception area and introduced myself to the front desk man, called Aristides. I told him I used to visit there years ago, and he offered to give me a tour.

He said they have 6 rooms renovated downstairs ready for occupancy, and 12 more rooms upstairs that should be ready in two months. He said a new bar is scheduled to open in one month. Then he showed me the new Restaurante San Jose, which actually looked nice. I promised to return for the buffet lunch later today. Aristides invited me to a private party scheduled for Tuesday, November 7th, at 9:00 PM. The admission price includes all food, drinks, and lots of dancing girls. I asked him how much it would cost. He said he wasn’t sure yet, but I should call him at 223-9212 in a day or so. I told him I would not be in town then, but I could tell my friends if he wanted. He said please tell your friends. I told him I belonged to a fraternity of gringos who like to visit the young women in CR, and could post it on their web page. He became enthused, and said he would pay me a commission for every person I recruited. I told him a commission was not necessary, and I would post it for free.

Who knows? This could be fun. If I were going to still be in town on November 7th, I would definitely check it out if the price is reasonable.

Hotel Park is on Avenida 4 between Calle 2 and Calle 4. Aristides said he works the front desk every day from 6 AM to 6 PM. He is a Tico who speaks very good English. Go by and visit him or call 223-9212.

I went by Hotel Park yesterday to check with Aristides about the price of the November 7th private party. He said he wasn’t sure yet, but he thought it was going to be $200. I thought we must be having a language barrier miscommunication thing. I asked him if he meant 20,000 colons. He said, no $200.

I told him the old price was 7000 colons. He said 70,000, that’s about $132, maybe we will charge that, I will tell the manager. I said no, not 70,000, seven thousand. He said, “But this includes food and drinks.”

I described the old shows, where for 7000 colons, the men rubbed baby oil on the dancers, and the women did a lesbian routine, and used dildos on each other, and how there was a blow job raffle at the end of the show where the winner got to pick the dancer of his choice. He seemed dumbfounded. All he could say was, “But this includes food and drinks.”

I told him that I thought they would not find one person who would pay the amount of money they are contemplating. I wished him good luck and left.

I’m back in the USA tonight. If anyone in San Jose hears anymore about this, I would be interested to know how things turn out.

Was there a party? Is there any real action there now?

There was a blow job raffle every Tuesday. For every dring you got a ticket and every 30 minutes or so bill would draw a ticket...I think we have a winner...you selected which ever chica you wanted...the good ole days...How many times did Bill sell half of the Park?

What is going on there now?

I never heard a word from anyone about the Hotel Park party that was supposed to happen last November. My guess is it never happened because they were charging too much. I’ll be back in SJO in late March and will go by there and ask about it.

I'm not sure what that means, but I saw Bill Bullock at Hotel Castillo last October. I looked out my window one morning to see if breakfast had been set out on the patio, and I saw Bill standing in the breakfast area. I did not go out to talk to him as I really do not like the man. I waited for 30 minutes and looked outside again, and Bill was gone so I went out for breakfast. I was at HC for another week, but never saw him again.

I later met up with an ex-Hotel Park woman, and told her I had seen Bill and she told me this. This sounds far-fetched, but this is what she said.

Bill had been running a bar in Playas del Coco. INTERPOL informed Costa Rican officials that the bar was a meeting place for international drug dealers, and Tico authorities revoked Bill’s business license. He had no job and no place to stay, but was friends with the owner of Hotel Castillo who let him crash there sometimes. He could no longer obtain a license to run a bar, and was looking for a partner to front for the license so he could get back into business. So if you are looking for an investment opportunity, you can probably find Bill by inquiring at HC.

I should point out that this particular ex-Hotel Park woman has told me some fantastical tales before. I don’t know if one word of that story is true. Most likely, it is a gross exaggeration with a grain of truth. I’ll be back at HC for 2 weeks in March and April, and will definitely drop by the new Hotel Park and report back.
