Just completed another wonderful 7 night stay at the Hotel Presidente. Service as always was superb. Never any problem for my special chica. The staff makes her feel as welcome as they do myself. Noticed several girls coming and going throughout the week with no problems.

I spoke to a couple chicas at the HDR who made sure they pointed out that they had a jacket. One gal in shorts made sure to let me know she had pants and would change if I selected her.

I enjoyed some of the best rooms of the hotel this stay. No matter which room I receive the service and value is always tops in my book. I’ll be returning soon and spending my night in San Jose at the Hotel Presidente.

Thanks for the update. Some may not like the enforcement of the dress code. However, the combination of elegance, room quality and service and still far superior then any of the other choices. I am glad some have chosen to go elsewhere. It just makes it easier for those of us that love this place to get rooms.

Yea, I fully agree. They have a good staff except for a couple of waiters in the restaurant that despise my old man and are not very polite to other gringos. Of course despising that fart is not hard to do if you've been around him for any length of time.

There are some other nice digs in SJ but the thing that separates the Pres from them is that the Pres is always trying to improve it's facilities to cater to it's clientele needs and the marketplace. Yes, that may dampen the atmosphere for mongers but the veterans of this group that continue staying there know how to handle it accordingly and thus still enjoy the place.

If I was unable to stay at the Pres the SL would be my second choice but it's entirely a different venue.....kinda like a bed and breakfast faturnity house that serves meals, sells booze and does not allow K*ds. My kind of place.

I'm upset the News Cafe took my two favorite items off the menu, the pollo sandwich and the pollo lasagna :( guess they figured we gringos didn't need to eat so much chicken. Guess it's the DelMar for a decent chicken sandwich now.
