Read the forum some, alot of your questions will be answered within a minute of searching.

None the less downtown offers alot of hotels, but its hard to say what you call economical.

1 - Presidente - 51$ a night, nice rooms, nice hotel, 2 blocks from the Blue Marlin which is basically ground zero. Easily under 5 minute walk.

2 - Del Rey - Not exactly the Marriot for rooms, but its more action under one roof then you could ever imagine. I think rooms are 59$ or 69$ a night, double check on it. Has a casino, multiple bars and a crap load of girls downstairs.

3 - Amon Plaza - Clarion, standard US style hotel rooms. Nice and clean hotel but a little hike from the main strip. Definitly walkable but its not somewhere I would advise walking at night.

4 - Sportsman Lodge. One of the favorites here, various hotel rooms of different sizes and styles and also variable prices from about 50$ - 250$ a night. Has a bar and a decent crowd of ladies to choose from at night.

5 - Castillo - Small boutique style place. Nice and cozy but lacks luxury. The price is a little over 40$ a night, and its in a good location between some of the top MP's and surrounded by other hotels.

Definitly more then that but those are the biggies that came right to me.
