Would any of the visiting members and resident members please post their experiences with the General Strike today in CR?

Are lots of stores closed? How about traffic and congestion downtown?

I've seen a few small marches in trips past, but this one looks like it may be on a much larger scale.

most places I saw were open, including banks. The traffic seemed a little lighter than usual.

I left yesterday (Monday), and the streets getting into the city were congested. Wasn't too bad getting out of the city, headed towards the airport, but you had to take many different side streets, around the strike.

I took in the strike Monday, and found them to be peaceful protesters. Stores remained open and when the rain came at 12:45 they scattered for cover. NOt sure they much of an impact but I laud them for their stance.
