Why do you monger?

I'm consider myself an accidental monger.

My wingman on my first two trips was doing a bit of traveling knowing he was going to the joint for seven years. One day we were sitting on his deck drinking beers and shooting the shit with they guys. He had just returned from Cancun and was talking about taking off again. He had been traveling alone and offered to pay for the flight if anyone was interested in joining him. I sat there thinking about his proposition and for some reason I thought about this piece that ran on the local news in Chicago regarding Costa Rica and the scene there. I mentioned it to him and he asked me to look into it. I went on the net and found CRT and joined right away and started reading and asking your typical newbie questions.

I got back to my wingman and we talked and decided to book a flight. We landed in CR, checked into Presidente, met a few gringos at News CAfe that gave us some good advice... then we walked into HDR and my life has never been the same ever since.

The whole P4P scene was new for me and I didn't know what to expect and had no idea what affect it would have on my life and my way of thinking and living.

What I enjoy more than the chicas is the scene itself. Meeting and chatting with mongers from around the globe. Drinking in the Del Rey and watching all the chicas walking around. The converstations with chicas about everything under the sun. Key Largo and night when the dance floor is crowded with chicas and gringos. The MP chicas, how they sit in those chairs all day waiting for a gringo to come along. The way the MP chicas laugh and seem to be having a good time with the other chicas at work. The way so many chicas make you feel during your session. I understand why so many chicas work but will never understand how someone could sell their bodies for money. It's complicated I know.

And most importantly the CRT members who go out of there way to help a brother out. It's amazing how complete strangers known to most by handles look out for one another. I find it easy to talk to anyone in Costa Rica.

I am no longer an accidetnal monger. I don't know where I fit in but I am seriously considering making a trip to Thailand early next year. I'm going to Thailand? If it wasn't for my wingman, CRT I would never have ever considered going to Thailand. It can't be any worse than my 12 day trip to Ireland where I spent $5k and could not find a good looking Irish girl. I had to settle for a girl from Spain and Chycalsyvacia.. i don't know how to spell it. Help with spelling please.

One thing I know for sure is that this life sure beats the "normal life." But it can also spoil you rotten and wreak havoc on your "normal life" back at home.

My life will never be the same again.

I have enough material to write a book.

TP,

Do it long enough & it is just a different part of life that has its place in time. At first you might think you passed thru some sexual mind sphincter thing but it will pass & life goes back to normal for many. It is just one of many options in life & we now know where it is & will always be. No reason to let it drive you crazy or get too anxious about.

It really does help many of us work some kinks out of our life if one doesn't let it consume him. We get to learn a lot even about ourselves & can gain much needed experience & confidence. It is a great thing if we let it be.

I have spent a ton of money on travels like you mentioned & never found much action at all. I rather do both now so I look for a great place to visit where they have hot loose women.

The worst part about mongering besides catching something you can't scrub off with a Brillo pad is it can change some men’s attitudes about women. Some start thinking all women are only a bunch of whore bitches  ! This can lead to a life of misery. We see how it changes many of the chicas quickly for the worse so as long as we can handle this part with No mental damage we should be OK.

I believe why I do it is I love to study people & what better way :P !

Zippy and TP, Great posts, and it got me thinking; Why do I do what I do and enjoy it so much?

Putting poosie aside it really is a difficult question to answer only because I can answer it in so many ways. I've been what you might call a monger a few years now, and I've learned the game by making mistakes of coarse, I've traveled a lot of the world in search of fun and honeys and I can say that I always have fun doing it.

For some guys it's like a high, the trill of victory or the agony of defeat. For some its the hunt, and for others it's to see how many they can laid in a certain time frame. For me this is what keeps me motivated to go to work and save money and not have a GF in the states

I plan a trip to some where about every 8 weeks. There is still a whole lot I still would like to see, like Colombia for example, which I may visit in 10 weeks.

For now I'm off to Thailand in a few days.

Peace.

Hey TP, I got your message I'm not leaving til' the 20th.

Welcome to the club TP, if you have a little time this topic reminded me of a great discussion from the archives about struggling with some of life's big questions. https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3969

I know what you mean by a lot of what you say. A big part of the appeal of CR for me is the comradery I find among like-minded guys. I've been to other monger markets and except perhaps in Rio (in Cambodia I found other mongers downright rude), I haven't seen that same level of friendship and aceptance of fellow mongers though perhaps that's because I'm not as plugged into those other communities through a board like this one. And of course there are still a lot of places I haven't been.

Unlike you, I didn't start out in CR nor was I armed with internet knowledge as that aspect of mongering hadn't taken off to the degree it has these days, or again perhaps I just wasn't aware of it. CR is a great "sandbox" place for 1st time mongers to start out because:
a) for those who haven't been completely converted over to the "dark side" there are other attractions to keep a guy busy when he is not out mongering.
b) it is close to the US,
c) there is that community support,
d) even if you're not plugged into the community or have a wingman, it's still relatively safe (or at least was) compared to many other monger destinations,
e) there is a centralized and concentrated area of activity and so the action is easy to find (some newbies feel they never even have to leave the HDR) and to the extent things are spread out it is easy to get around,
f) the language, though foreign, is already at least a little familiar to many gringos and to the extent it isn't at least many of the words are similar to english and are written in western script

I think you might find some or many of these things lacking in the next place you go. However, you're a world traveler now and perhaps you're ready for it. In exchange for cutting that umbilical cord (the safety and community of the CRT brotherhood in the womb of the BM), you'll see new sites that are in many other ways grander than what you've already experienced in CR. Colombia and Argentina (and increasingly Ecuador and Peru) are natural progressions for CR beginners because of the Spanish language aspect. Rio to a somewhat lesser extent because of its Portuguese, but has exceptional mongering opportunities. Thailand is much more foreign than any of those but would be my absolutely favorite destination if it weren't for that flight.

"life is like a box of chocolates... "

I'm hung over a bit this morning but wanted to share this story with y'all.

I've been taking it easy lately and haven't had a drink in about 5 weeks. I've also been busy working 12 hours a day and saving money. And most importantly thinking about where I'm going to travel next.

Well last night I went out to have a few drinks and had a great time! I needed to unwind a bit.

What a night!!

I had a few of my friends in from L.A. filmmaker types, screenwriters, directors and producers. They came over to check out my new condo. We are sitting around shooting the shit trying to figure out what to do when my phone rings. I answer it and it's one of my friend who's in the "Outfit."

For those of you who are not familiar with the "Outfit" it's the name the boys in Chicago use for the Mob.

Well my friend calls me to invite me to dinner at this restaurant one of his guys opened up. I tell him about my LA friends and he invites us all over.

Me and my LA friends show up and we are the only ones in the place. The bartendars are smokin' hot, from Poland.

We take a seat at the bar and order drinks. A few minutes later the Outfit walks in and what a mix. Everyone got along like they were old chums from way back.

The Outfit guys were fasinated by the stories the LA guys shared and vice versa.

A few stories the LA guys shares..

Vin Diesel is a big cocksucker. He's gay.

Tom Cruise has young hot studs visit him in his trailer on set for back door penetration. He is not gay like Vin Diesel and Kevin Spacey. I don't know what you would call it but it seems a lot of Hollywood types are into wierd shit to get them off.

Benico De Torro banging Scarlett Johanason in the elevator at Chateau Marmont. This is the famous hotel where all the celebrites hang out to party out of the paparazzi's view. Also the place where John Belushi died from an overdose of cocaine.

Rebecca Rominjn Stamos, smoking hot!! Well she loves to "party" and loves to get gang-banged.

The last time I was in LA me and my friends went over to the Chateau Marmont for a few drinks. We sit at the bar and who is there.. Bono, William H. Macy, the guy from Blink 182, Rob Schnieder, several young starletts and Julie Delphy.

Some of these people think I'm "somebody" because I'm at Chateu Marmont. I tell Rob Schieder I wrote a script for him. He's like "really?" Then I tell him, "I'm just kidding, you must hear that all the time." He doesn't know what to say. My friends get a chuckle out of this.

Bono is a really cool guy who has a lot to say as opposed to most of the celebrities in LA who have nothing to say without a script in front of them.

I walk over to Julie Delphy who is sitting alone reading a book. I introduce myself and she invites me to take a seat. I sit down and have a long convestation with her about everything. She is not your typical LA type.

As I'm walking to the bathroom who walks in? Julie Louis-Dreyfus. I do my best Elanie impersanation and yell "get out!" as I make my way out of the bar area. She smiles. If you guys have seen Seinfeld you know what I'm talking about. I laugh my ass off. I've been drinking all day.

Anyways, those are some of the stories my LA friends and I share with the Oufit boys. The Oufit boys share some stories with the LA boys which I cannot share with you guys... I don't want to get clipped. You know what I'm saying?

The Outfit boys love the LA stories and the LA guys love the Oufit stories.

And everyone loves my Costa Rica stories regarding the life of a monger. I tell them about CRT and the gentlemen on the board. They think I'm crazy but enjoy the stories.

The owner of the restaruant is a young Romanian guy who has been in the US for a few years and already has a classy restaurant and catering service. He met one of the Oufit guys and they took care of him.

He is running around taking care of everyone and he is introduced to the LA guys. Well it turns out he was in film school here in Chicago when he first came to town and has aspirations of becoming a film producer. He knows movies and the business. The LA guys share more stories. And the owner feels like he's in the movie business. A connection is a made. And if you don't know, in LA it's all about who you know not how much talent you have.

The LA guys tell him if there's anything he wants call Traylor Park.

I order JaguerBombs for everyone, since I'm not paying for anything.

The Outfit boys and the LA guys don't drink that shit, was there reply. They are tonight. I ask the owner to turn off the music and I make a speech and eveyone drinks and hugs all around. What a scene!!

The food was incredible! And the service... you would think I owned the joint.

What an incredible night!!!

And best of all.... no one pays the bill!! Just like in the movies.

The life of a monger....

Zippy, I too enjoy studying people.

In the past I bolt to the nearest beach when I need a break. Usually I go to the Florida panhandle, Panama city or Destin. I spend 1500 to 2000 for 5 to 7 nights. I find myself chasing pu*sy every night at the many bars and clubs. Im 44 ,in shape and handsome but still have a hard time bedding the girls I want. Fat chicks are no problem, I think Im a fat chick magnet but fat chicks really disgust me. I would rather wack it myself than Phuck a fatty. I met a guy at a local bar that told me about the CRT website. I joined and started doing research and planning my first trip to CR. I found that I could go to CR ,stay a week, Phuck a beautiful young girl every night for the same amount I spend in Destin Fl.

Good point KC. I monger in the states and there is no comparison , States vs CR. I used a local provider this past weekend and it sucked, wasnt worth it, to many rules after she gets my cash, missionary only, no daty, dfk, she wouldnt even let me put her legs up in the air. When I sensed that she was cold as a fish I hit it as hard and fast as I could. Afterward she said I hurt her puss and came to fast. Oh well. The CR girls Ive been with seemed to love their work, treat their customer good, and dont have the hangups these gringas do.

I realize women generally don't like to be with a lot of different men but you would think they would be smart enough once they decide to be with a man to be warm & affectionate so men treat them more like a loving real girlfriend. Well even though it is fantasy it is better than friction :? . So many Gringas have this mind set of well I will phuck you FOR THE $$ but this is how I will be a very begrudging phuck with all these restrictions  .

Generally this is what I have found thru all the years is the Gringa has a 2 style phuck approach that I believe they believe lets them deal with it better mentally. They have the true boyfriend phuck for the guy they like & the client phuck for the man that pays them. My guess is when the are not getting along with the boyfriend he gets the client phuck if anything at all. The Latinas seem to have one a style phuck that is equal to all & once they commit they give it their best shot :P .

This alone to me makes the gringa just not worth the time & trouble but when a guy gets treated like Raw what do they expect. This is just another dumb thing that a puritain society has taught the gringas but really it is stupid I believe after all they are going to do it so why not do it right so maybe she could even enjoy. Generally Latinas do not have this problem at all & is why we tend to enjoy them so much. Funny how different a culture can change things. I find the Latinas lazy at so many things but when it comes to pleasing a man they tend to get with the program  .

Raw,

I know exactly what you mean. I used to hit the Asian massage parlors in the U.S. on a regular basis, but gave up on them completely a couple of years ago. Entirely too much attitude for what it cost. You're right, as soon as they have your money, they're in the driver's seat telling you what you're NOT GOING TO DO :( , and with what remains, it's just not worth it. In all fairness, I've run into the same thing in Costa Rican massage parlors as well, the ones that especially come to mind are OASIS and MUSES :( , but at least in CR you have more options available to you if one place doesn't work out :) .

Wow, I haven't seen a word butchered and murdered in such a fashion in a LONG time!!

You're also a few years behind as well... it's been CZECH REPUBLIC for quite a while now...

Ok, but that's inconsequential, I just thought that was funny.

TP, that was one of the most interesting reads on this board in a very long time, I really enjoyed it and both your posts and the responses made me reflect on my own motivations and reasons, as well as made me reminisce how I, also accidentally, discovered Costa Rica. It's been life altering for me on many levels, but I've grown up alot due to my discoveries, and on some levels, I've become a better person. I've also found true friends and people special to me that I wouldn't have otherwise EVER met.

On the other hand, the discovery of variety at that easy of a disposal does something to a guy who's still young... it creates an inability (or a much greater difficulty) to maintain a monogomous relationship. Dave once warned about that on a very eloquent thread, and I've found it to be true with many of my friends who wandered into this hobby well before their 40's. I, on the other hand, came to another completely different epiphany... After having banged countless scores of kittens, I realized that, at the end of the day, it's all pretty much the same shit. Sure, a new kitten may smell different, another may have much better skills than the other, but it's all what you make of it, and the risks and drama involved with indulging in a variety of kittens can many times rival the very drama we claim to avoid in real relationships... All the same shit, man... This is not how many people will think, but that's what I got out of it. The one thing that of course doesn't happen in a monogomous relationship is that thrill, that rush of the hunt, of being with someone for the first time... but trust me, the joy of being intimate with someone who truly cares for you is a more fulfilling feeling, and more importantly, it's a feeling that doesn't end once you bust a nut... And trust me, if you find the one who is compatible to your specific sexual interests and desires, even the thrill and rush can be replaced with creativity and passion with the one you are with.

To each their own, I won't sit here and tell you that I don't miss mongering... to say it was a phucking blast would be a gross understatement. It was the most fun I've had in my life. And I still enjoy it by living vicariously through you sick degenerate bastards... Costa Rica is still a watering hole for me on occasion and I love hangin' out with the boyz, flirting with the kittens and window-shopping the new talent. God, this shit is pretty damn cool, even on this side of the fence...
