I'm in San Jose right now but heard from some friends that there was an armed robbery at the Marriott this morning. Apparently some people were hurt but that is all I've got right now. Should make La Nacion manana. I'm heading back to Jaco in the morning and will see if I can find out details.

Check out the bottom of the center column. There's not much to the report but this may be the incident. Basically, if I am reading it right, a construction company on the road close to Los SueÃ±os was hit to the tune of about $10,000. It doesn't appear to invlove the resort or any tourists in any way:
