I have a question posed by my best friend:

He is currently married to a CR lady for 4.9 years. He is considering a divorce but is concerned about losing any portion of his large USA federal Pension. What counsel can you give him?

Assuming he is residing in CR the best advice anyone can give is:

Consult a qualified Costa Rican Abagado

If you can provide more details that would be helpful. Where do they live? Where was the marriage? K-ds? My first inclination is that he is ph*cked. But, if you could provide more details that would be helpful. No, I am NOT an attorney but, have researched this subject.

She lives in CR and he in the USA. They have no K*ds together. They were married in CR and she lived with him briefly in the US. She has been back in CR for over two years now with him just visiting.

Anything else you might need to know?

He can thank his lucky stars he didn't have k-ds with her. That is the ultimate of death sentences. CR takes that very seriously and I can say with 100% certainty it would have cost him much, much more had he knocked her up. I'll pm you later.
