Hi I am a black american and my second trip is days away. I had no problem with Ticas in the BM or Zona Blue there the first time. I think that is because of the money and the fact that these ladies no how to make a cat feel. I was told by 2 ticas that thay have black boy friends I thought it was to get more loot, might have been true who knows. Anyway I saw no racism there and I was polite to all and had the time of my life. Have a great trip!

Glad you had a great trip and welcome back. The discussion pretty much came to a consensus that the P4P (BM/ZB) girls only color preference was US dollar green.

Where the discussion found differing points of view, concerning color, were in the non P4P Ticas. Most, and that includes myself, find the majority of Ticas are, to at least some degree, racist. Hopefully this is becoming less so with the younger generation but it is still an issue in CR.

Last night I went to Jaco for the first time. I drove up in my rental car from MA/Quepos. Anyway, I was turned down for service3 times at the Beatle Bar. In different ways the girls let me know they weren't interested.

The first one, Carla, I bought a drink for her. Then I think she say easier pickens so she politely excused herself and moved on after about 10 mins.

The second one, was a black chica from CR possibly Limon. I liked her look so I was trying to get her attention by making eye contact. Usually when you make eye contact with a girl they run over to you. Well this one was trying to avoid me all night. It finally took a friend of mine going over and bringing her and her friends over to us. Mind you the guys I was with are much older white males, late 50s and 60s. Anyway when she came over she acted like she just wasn't interested. So eventually she left saying, "no megusta negros". At that point everyone I was with was stunned including the girls.

The last one was not as bad. She was a Dominican named Lucia. We ended up spending the night together and I gave her $140. I think she felt sorry for me after the previous incident. We stayed at her place all night, talked and did the usual things. In the morning I offered to have her spend some time with me in MA. She said no. She figured she could make more money staying at the Beatle Bar than having a nice time on me in MA. :?

Lucia explained it to me like this, when there is a choice between an older guy (preferably white) and a young guy (I'm 29). The girls will want to pick the easiest client because they can get back to work and make more money. I've read this sentiment on the board before. But in addition she told me that usually the girls have bad experiences with black guys because they haggle over the price with more fervor than white guys in hopes of getting a better deal.

This says to me that some guys are giving in too easily to the obligatory "cien por hora" driving the girls expectations up. :x And that possibly some guys are making it hard for others by being too aggressive in their price negotiations and treatment of the girls. But that is just my humble opinion.

Anyways, now I'm back in MA and need a date for tonite. So, i'll be checking out the P4P in MA.

Peace. :)

Explorador,

Head over to Pescadoros or Wacky Wandas in Quepos. Doubt you will find the quanity at BB in Jaco but you should find some ladies in the $40-$60 range. The owner of Pescador(Bill) or Fernando the bartender are good people and will point you in the right direction should you need it.

My wife is a tica and her brothers have some friends that are black. Most of the black Costa Ricans are from Lemon as you probley know.

This area of the country also speaks perfect english! Many countrys in Central America have cities that are primarly African decent and they normally teach english and speak perfect english.

Most of the Ticas have a conception that black men are problems and they stay away from them. Again this is because of the misconception that areas like Lemon is crime ridden areas and black people are problems.

How ever you define racism you will find it in many countries to differnt degrees! This includes paradise in Costa Rica. As a gringo you will have to pay higher prices! What ever you do don't get offended if they call you Neagro.... this is what the black Ticos normally want to be called and it is a normal word that is used in their society. My mother in law calls her friends that are black Neagro... like hola neagro tico.... or hey amigo neagro......this is not a insult but rather a society thing and the black ticos would rather be called that than African Costa Rican or African tico.

This is just a observation from my circle of infuluance with my family and friends in CR.

Personally if i were you I would take a trip to Lemon just because I understand that it is a beautiful place and the women are incredible.. I want to take a trip in that area this year if I can convince my wife to go.

I am an American brother of color. I have visited Costa Rica 3 times. I have not encountered one instance of racism during my vists. In contrary quite the opposite. Like dying and waking up in the land of the ladies. I have mongered with Colombianas, Dominicanas, Nicas, Ticas, and a Panam. I honestly think they have a thing for the brothers. One Tica told me that they feel we are well endowed, last long, and are very nice to them when we visit CR. You should never have any problem unlesss you wear your feelings on your shoulders. Different game. Different world. Let it go in CR. Enjoy yourself in CR.

I will give the greatest tip for free. Learn a little spanish Bro! It will take you a loooooong way with the Ticas!
Seeya!

I have sessioned with Carlita from jaco that fits your description to a tee. She was kind-of passive and quiet in bed until I starting DATY. She did a 180. Really got into it and fell asleep after she came. We had a great session when she awoke. She is a real sweety and seems to respond best to gentleness. I got the impression that she is bi-sexual or pure lesbian, but thats not a bad thing.

Now I wish I could have looked pass her bad attitude at the time. Because she really was quite attractive. Still I had a great time elsewhere.

Nevertheless, I hope she is there in the future because I will try to scope her out again.

I was spending some time with a nonpro and some of her friends at the DR. Her friends were talking about breast implants and lipo suction. A black guy approached and put the make on one of the girls. They politely declined his offer. When he left they started saying something about el negro grande pinga es mal. I didnt know what the hell they were saying until one of them motioned something about dick size. My nonpro friend started asking me about mine. I held my fingers about an inch apart and said mucho grande, mucho grande. They all died laughing and one of the girls grabbed my hand as if she wanted to leave with me. My nonpro friend got really jelous and lowered her price right away and we left shortly there after. Is a nonpro at the DR the definition of oxymoron. This chica said many times, me no working girl, me no working girl, and if you dont believe them , just ask them again.

A non-pro in the DR is like saying an honest politician in congress  these things don’t really go together, if she is at the DR she might be new to the DR but will become a pro due to the environment. I would call her a newbie but not a non-pro. DR is not the breeding grounds for non-pros, just my opinion.
