Not sure which forum this should go in, but I need some advice.

Since the stupid d*mn changes d/t stupid d*mn effin terrorists with thier freakin liquid devices...

So what do you guys take with you. such as shampoo, cologne, toothpaste etc... what do you do? do you check your luggage in or do you still carry on and buy new stuff at CR when you get there? ( I am kind of clogne picky, but I dont wat to check in a whole luggage that I could carry on just for a cologne)

Thanks for the help.

IMHO the time saved by using a carry on as opposed to checking a bag and having to clear customs is worth a short trip to the nearest farmiacia
for a couple of personal items. As far a cologne, most high end cologne can be bought at the duty free shop and given to you at plane side before you board. But buy a small size, you will have to leave what is left over behind when you come back!

Genius... thanks, did not even think of duty free.

Excellent... problem solved.

Now another question. Why am I feeling like I have butterflies in my stomach just two days prior to my first ever mongering trip????

Because you're about to have your world turned upside down in a couple days! Once you land in CR, you will return with a entirely new perspective on life! In other words.... You'll be ruined forever!!!!!!!!!
Have fun,
MG

And I'll bet you a session at Oasis that you will return in May...

Staven,

Me thinketh you are a little paranoid. You're flying from where? Florida? I just flew to CR from Dallas for the the labor day weekend party and it's only about 3.5 hours direct flight. I put everything in my check luggage and the only thing I carry-on was my laptob bag. In 3.5 hours I will be in San Jose, Costa Rica. What would I need shampoo, shaving cream, deodorant or cologn (sp?) for?? And for such a short flight and a short trip I also usually do carry-on only. But with this change, I just checked my small carry-on and just carry my laptop.

I can see you might need all these stuff if you are flying 6 hours or more with connections. But a quick 2 hour flight from Miami shouldn't be a problem.

Last month you could not even bring duty free liquids on board. You might want to check that before you buy it. Checking everything was just as fast as when I carry on.
