I have read numerous articles over the years
concering the vanishing rain forests in Costa Rica and
the effects on the enviroment.

It now appears the at least one popular San Jose
establishment has taken the threat seriously and stepped
up slow this travisty.

I have information from a respected member of this board
that the News Cafe at the popular Presidente Hotel & Fashion Mall
now monitors the paper napkin useage of the breakfast bunch.

Our North Florida correspondent reports he personally
experienced the application of the "News Cafe Green Policy"
while attempting to wipe the grease from some freshly
fried eggs recently.

When it became evident that our senior member has taken
4 single ply twice folded napkins to his table, the NCGP
( News Cafe Green Police) reacted immeaditly.
The extra 2 napkins where immeaditly removed from the
table before they were contaminated by the by-products of
his breakfasts production.

Witnesses overhead our diner ask for and receive an explanation
of the new world saving actions of the News Cafes represenative.

Upon comprehending the scope of this revolutionary program
our man epressed his encouragement to the employees and
management of the News Cafe. He became so excited he
started shouting the historic South Jacksonville
chant of " Ahh-Soo , Ahh-Soo"

At this point, on site witnesss versions of staff and management
reactions vary, but is was obvious they understood how
emotionaly moved our correspondent had become.

It is unkown at this time if this policy will be expanded to
paper useage in guest rooms but sources report the
Manager of Guest Services - Dress Code Policy
is reviewing expansion.

Love ya Brother..

The sale of long sleeved shirts should rise accordingly. Actually, being that I live near the ass wipe manufacturing capitol of the world, the idea of tree saving by using less paper product is misinformation. Most sanitary papers are made from the fast growing, short lived trees in the aspen family.

This sounds like an evil plot put into motion by the eco-tourists and feminist gringas to drive us away. They have probably threatened to boycott the hotel unless they put forth an effort to save the asspen forests of CR and enforce it with a paper patrol. Hopefully they won't start rationing toilet paper too, no way they can make it (or any of their paper products) with less paper, it's so thin you can already see through it.

Hey Pidd is an Ahh-Soo similar to an Arse-wipe?

Clever post Pidd. It does not help that the toilet paper in costa rica is so flimsy that it loses half of its strength on the long trip from the roll to my ass. I actually went shopping at a max or menos to find some better tp, but none of it was good. Next time, I will bring my own roll so that I destroy the US rainforest, but save my ass.

I happen to know that your "North Florida Correspondent" is actually an

illegal business operator in CR running a chain of "Cardboard Inn"

franchises and that he is not above abusing the trusting nature of the

News Cafe to supply his hotel empire with asswipe stolen from above

mentioned staid establishment.

Shame.
