Just wanted to give an update on the BOS situation. I just got a call from my Tico friend who is a former employee of BOS. He and many, many of the old BOS employees are now in Panama City working for a new sportsbook. It is called Bestlinesports. www.bestlinesports.com

He still has not received any pay since termination. The company told him that it would be within 30-90 days of their termination. He also told me that he anticipates that any clients who have money with BOS will be paid within that same timeframe. He seemed very confident that the clients will receive every penny owed to them.

Several of the old BOS employees were recruited for the book in Panama. Basically, they were given a plane ticket and a hotel room. Don't know how long the hotel room situation will last. He seemed a bit concerned that the hotel situation wouldn't last much longer.

Just wanted to provide an update.

Some employees at BoS have already begun to get there severance check. Yesterday and today, they paid the last part of the salaries owed.

They are suppose to call you when your severance check will be ready. As to customers, nothing yet as to when they will be paid

The industry seems to recover fast, I just got offered a two year contract in singapore developing software for Mansion.com. And they are willing to place 6 months pay in trust with my canadian lawyer to ensure I get paid. Its nice to be wanted. But since,I have worked for several internet gambling companies and own stock in a few. I dont think this canadian will be visiting the US soon. Have to meet all my american friends, while i spend my weekends in Thailand.

This is the statement currently posted on the BOS homepage (doesn't exactly sound like being paid is a lock):

//BETonSPORTS PLC

Update

The Board of Directors of BETonSPORTS plc announced that in the light of the Temporary Restraining Order issued by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the related Indictment issued by such Court, and after thoroughly reviewing possible alternative business plans, they no longer consider the US facing operations of the Company, which are based in Costa Rica and Antigua, to be viable.

The Directors have considered the impact of this conclusion and now intend that the Company should;

1. cease its operations in Costa Rica and Antigua as soon as practicable;
2. pay any liabilities to staff and creditors in an orderly manner; and;
3. repay balances due to US customers in an orderly manner.

Items 2 and 3 above will take time and their successful completion will depend upon the Company’s ability to persuade banks and cash processors to release its funds. It also will depend on the Company’s ability to realize further and sufficient funds from its assets and operations outside Costa Rica and Antigua and to earn sufficient profits from operations which are not US facing.

The Directors are taking steps to ensure that the Company will not knowingly accept any wagering transactions from US based customers.

Further information will be posted on this website once agreements are in place with the relevant parties.

If indeed their accounts are frozen and no processors from the US side are returning funds to USA accounts, you can understand BOS having a dilemma in how to repay USA players. It would seem the USA authorities take on that task for themselves from confiscated funds, IF that is the way this is playing out. I dont know anything about what is really going on, but having seen governments like Costa Rica and others freeze funds like the Brothers and then never pay out...ya gotta wonder who the reall robbers are here...and where that money is at. Sounds like government to me. And of course, if we want to take recourse to the prosecuting attorney and judge who has frozen these funds and DECLARED that online gaming is illegal...good luck in getting THEM to release funds. In my opinion, it looks like OUR governments actions have caused its citizens to lose money or at least not have access to OUR money for the foreseeable future. I think this could go up to the supreme court someday. Who knows from there. Scary shit...
