I was wondering what is the typical length of stay for our CRT brothers. I myself am a 7 day trip guy.

My trips to CR are always 4 days (Thurs - Monday).

Due to business obligations, I can't take long trips, but I do take multiple trips. I normally take around 12 - 14 (4-day) trips per year. Usually 8 of those trips are to CR.

10 days works perfectly for me. I can see the wisdom in 4 day wild weekends. But I like to unwind, boink a few babes, see another part of the country for a couple of days, and then return to SJ to boink a few more babes before returning home. Besides, I get 5 weeks of vacation per year and have to use them up somewhere. 8)

An option that might have been included is the 7-10 day trip.

I have spoken with a number of guys who think that 10 days is ideal, particularly if you're going to do more with your vacation than drink, gamble and/or screw. I also have been told by a lot of veterans that a 4 day stint is plenty, if mongering is the only goal and if frequent trips are feasible.

For a lot of us, freqent trips are either impossible because of obligations, or too expensive (airfare wise) from our home airport. Guys like me will take much longer trips, because we can't travel as often as someone like MG.

With air prices the way that they are... I usually take 2 trips a year of 7 days each. I wish I could go more often, but at $600 a pop for airfair... It's kind of expensive.

5 days is my prefered trip but have done some 4 day trips as well as longer ones but more in the 5 day range. That may change some with airfares rising the way they are. Cheap tickets are getting few and far between. It is hard for me to travel more than a week and a lot easier 4 or 5 days due to my job.rbc100

I find that 10 day trips are better. You are not too much of a rush to make bad (Cien) decisions.

Mine break down like this after a 5 day free for all, a 2-3 days of slow pace hunt and then the final stretch extravaganza.

In 19 trips, my shortest was 3 nights and the longest was 12 nights, with the average being 5 or 6 nights. I wonder what the record is for the shortest trip? I'm not talking about a 'layover' while continuing on to another country, or going down for ANY kind of business. Strictly 100%
'pleasure'. I know many mongers have done the two nights trip, but I wonder if anyone has ever flown down for one night? I imagine some mongers out of the Miami or Orlando area may have done it.

10 days seems to be long enough and not have to much work pile up for my return. 14 plus would be nice though. :D
