RHM,

Thanks for the acknowledgement, although I would put Irish Drifter, Prolijo, Witling, Paco Loco and many others ahead of me as the "information kiosk." :)

Maybe I should change my handle to Kiosk. Na-a-ah.

I was a Boy Scout. Never made it to Eagle Scout, but I got very close; then I discovered girls. CRT for me has similar vibes to the Boy Scouts. With apologies to Lord Baden-Powell, I say we're all just oversexed, party-animal Boy Scouts.

* Scout Oath and Law = Our unofficial code of gentlemanly behavior

* Jamboree = Hello? 3rd Anniversary Party

* Good turn daily = Answering questions from other brothers, helping E.C. get to C.R. etc.

* Rubbing two sticks together = Threesome with two flaquitas

* Merit badges = Number of trips/posts We could offer merit badges for many areas: Negotiation, Sexual Safety, Jaegerbombing, Surviving the stage at diPelufo... :P

So c'mon guys. Let's sing around the campfire, toast some marshmallows, tell ghost stories and then get every drop of semen vacuumed out of our vesicles by the local Girl Scouts. Whaddaya say?

I just come for Witling's Travel PSA's (pubic service announcements  ) :P

To me CRT is: information, entertainment, friendship, and camaraderie.

Staven, your marriage doesn't have to "blow" to be a monger or to read this board. I've known plenty of guys who choose to remain married, and find ways not to feel like slimy weasels concerning their infidelity. Denial, attributing it to sex addiction, assuming the theory that monogamy is not "natural" - these all work on some level.

Eventually you accept that you see the world differently than some would prefer. You know that while marriage vows are important, they're also a pain in the ass. And when your lady starts phuckin' with your head, those vows start to "unwrap." You warn her to stop nagging, but to no avail, until all the shit comes unglued? Follow?

You also weigh "vows" vs. "V". No, not Viagra. "V" is what happens with those hot Latina legs when she spreads them with anticipation. Some men may labor years over the decision to stray, but with mongers, it's a few seconds. And when you feel guilty afterward - yup, more "V."

Finally, mongers have an intimate relationship with death, and I'm not talking about your status when your wife catches you. I'm talking about that famous saying, "So much ass, so little time." You have a profound understanding that your ass is going to be in a plywood crate six feet under, and it's damp down there. When? Let me put it this way. When your flesh leaves the bounds of this earthly realm, there will be a lot of flesh remaining, flesh you never got your paws on. And in your stead, they'll be other mongers filling the void, spunking up all those cuties you just missed.

So enjoy your maiden voyage, sailor, and remember, although married women may think our type is akin to triple-axe murderers, we're really only about (hot) female dogs, and fuzzy pu*sy cats.

Now what's wrong with that?

I was a boy scout too until I found out about girl scouts. God how I love eating their cookies.

CRT for me = The best online resource for Costa Tica travel and accomodations for any budget. The security and scams section is important to me because I travel alone. I can freely express myself about how phucked up women are. Interesting and entertaining reading.

Why costaricaticas.com?

The information is invaluable. I have a file folder full of printed CRT reviews
that I take on every trip to CR. Maps by GetRythm. Lumps, and Prolijo
and lists of massage parlors and tico bars by RBC100, Don Gordo, and others have
changed my experiences from disappointing on my first trip to fantastic
on my third trip. Literally fantastic, because I fantasize about the chicas
from my last trip all the time. In the threads, the truth about a place
emerges because lots of different people contribute.

Like many guys who do not post much, I do all my mongering alone.
I don't like gambling -- the stock market is much more fun, with better
odds. And I don't like to drink much on my trips (the posts describing
the mongering parties are as much about alcohol as chicas). Actually
my trips to Costa Rica and Buenos Aires have more to do with
cleaning out my system, getting some good exercise, and finding out
how the world feels to Toledoguy than with partying. I don't want
anything to take away from that wonderful sexual feeling, and at my
age, alcohol is a depressant. Also, my work involves constant interaction
with others, and my Toledo ladyfriend likes to socialize. So, for me,
it is such a pleasure to be by myself, to be alone, to feel what it is like
to be me. I walk for miles every day, sometimes from massage parlor
to massage parlor, with my little bag full of CRT print-outs, condoms,
lubricants, pocket rockets, and antiseptic soap. I lose a couple pounds
despite eating great food (again, thanks
for the reviews), and I come back feeling fit and hornier than ever
for my Toledo lady. I like going back to work with my secret. I like having
a secret and private life.

The information on the Board makes it all possible. Maybe there are
others like me. I keep posting about my experiences with the idea that I might be making a contribution to someone like me, but I don't
expect the kinds of praise that friends will naturally give to
friends. Anyway, this is not a criticism of you guys who party
together and find good friendships. Indeed, I enjoy your posts; keep
up the antics and hijinks. Who knows? Maybe I will want to join you some
day, maybe if I ever retire from work. In the interim, keep up the
good work and pura vida however it is good for you.

Toledoguy,
I respect your travel M.O. but I think you may be missing out on a great addition to your trips. Namely meeting other like-minded guys to share your time and experiences with.

Now I'll be the first to admit that a little goes a long way and not every member of CRT is conducive to hang out with every other member but I personally feel that I've made some friends in my travels that I'll keep for many years.

As an example, I met a guy on my first mongering trip in 1997 to the Dominican Republic. As luck would have it we are both ex Air Force, programmers and only 1 year apart in age. We live in different states but He and I will be in San Jose over Labor Day and again in Colombia later this year. He's stayed at my place as I have stayed at his.

I also have two friends I met in San Jose who I've hooked up with on return trips to San Jose as well as in Las Vegas and San Diego.

There were about 25 CRT members in Rio last November and it made for a great trip.

There are all types of members of CRT.
Give us a chance. You might be surprised as to just who you could meet.

CRT for me is a whole new world of information,it was before my first trip and is for my next trip( 31 days and counting). It feels like a family with one common goal (hell if i know what that is) was looking forward to meeting all you fellow mongers at the labor day bash but alas my niece has decided to tie the knot that weekend so my trip has been delayed to 13th sept.I guess i will have to be satisfied with all your leftovers. Hmmm…this is a good thread too add on …

CRT started for me, as what Toledo guy stated, a great source of information from like minded gentlemen. I filled my brain and printed out a lot of information that I still have today and will use on any future trips. CRT was the motivation to get me out of a vacation rut and to take the next step in really enjoying the little time off that I have to enjoy myself, as myself… I was almost sucked in to several of the “all inclusive” sites that would have been fun, but cost way more than they should have. CRT gave me the knowledge (guts) to venture into the “dangerous gringo gulch” and have a great time. Posts by MidnightRider, El C, GR, Ruffnutz, and many, many others gave me the knowledge that I could have a vacation based on strictly mongering AND do it solo…

But then I arrived…. so much for solo. Within the first day I had meet at least a dozen likeminded gentlemen to hang with. This is when I realized that CRT is more similar to the get together’s that I have every other year with my fraternity brothers from school… The old lead the young, and the respect that is shown, is the respect that is given… We all come from different walks of life, but are here for the same reason…to enjoy ourselves without any hassles, judgments or shame. What we receive instead is knowledge, encouragement, and fellowship…with some good natured humor tossed in.

I have made some good friends through CRT, and have several future trips planned with them to several destinations that I would have never thought of visiting…

Nice job Admin 1!

Mendo

YO CRT gang:

El Ciego hit on something that makes comparable sense.....Boy Scouts. Yep, even old Circus was one and then an exployer scout and finally asst. scout master when I remember being at the 1960 National Boy Scout Jamboree in Colorado when President Dwight D. Eisenhower rode through in a motorcade.

Yeah, I bet you chica pokers out there never would have thought that such a role model as that would end up being being someone in the Circus persona. Oh well......Shit happens.

Come to think of it.....CRT and the Scouts have similarities in their Oath, and laws. I'll open up another topic and share them with you.

Sorry , late to the party as usual,

The comments of the others sum up my feelings prety much,
2 years in crt now , all I know is I would never have made the journey
to Costa Rica in the first place with out the colective advice of the members here,

And in most cases a quick respose to posted questions from members here even Admin 1 does his best to be timely,
in the past year I have been amazed at the speed of responce by a member, Indeed our rank and file grows but as the first post explains
there are certainly some key people that make CRT what it is.

I should mention my first advisers from the first year,
Mighty one and Astroglide.
Members will come and go I guess.

I have not really experienced the true good fellows situation yet
but I have only been once and I do tend to hunt alone if I can say that.
I need to establish the social skills required to be a wing man....perhaps

I have developed a few great freindships so far , like I said my journey in
CR is just starting. I know I will continue to meet some most exelent CRT brothers in trips to come.

sorry if there be a spelling mistake.

Damb fine topic.

Fiedler
