Travel Discounts for CRT VIP Party:

Gentlemen: In an effort to further reduce your travel costs for those planning to attend the CRT VIP 3 Year anniversary part in September we have worked out the following group meeting discounts with the following airlines. Please note we attempted to contact as many airlines as possible, but not all are willing to offer group discounts during our time frames or for the window of dates we provided for the party.

I might also add that these discounts may not apply to all fares & it may often be cheaper to book online, through your online web sites that you normally use etc. I simply thougth we would take this step as it may indeed help some gain some discounts on travel it is suggested you do your research, get your best price then contact the appropriate airline and way your options. This way you will know if the group discount is beneficial to you.

The following are the List of airlines & phone numbers we have set up arrangements with & those who we contacted but do not have a program so you know we did attempt the most logical airline choices for you.

American Airlines:

Thanks for including Continental this year. Did you find them fairly amenable to the idea or were they difficult to work with?

Can you list the terms of the discount for Continental (which fare classes, and any other rules that apply, and how much the discount is for)?

Do you know whether you get 100% Elite Qualifying Miles when you book through the group line?

They were a bit more difficult then AA several faxes etc, but still not to much trouble.. AA pulled last years file and had us set up in less than 5 mins.

Called Continental and they said the dates were Aug.26 to Sept 6 not Aug 06

For anyone flying Continental, if you book your trip online and use the codes you could get a 5% discount. It didn't work for the dates and times I tried though. Lately continental.com has been a bit buggy with the rollout of their new website. If you have a problem I would suggest calling their website tech support as they are usually the most helpful and you'll still get credit for booking through the website (Full EQM's, 500 bonus miles, and 3% of that 5% discount). I personally did not go that route because it was easier to use my Chase Continental Master Card for an identical 5% discount.
