Has anyone had much luck with the Ticas in other places then SJ, Jaco and a few in Flamingo?

Sorry it has taken so long for someone to reply to your question. BTW, this kind of question might get a wider audience in the Newbies' or Girls Review sections.

Outside of Jaco, Tamarindo/Flamingo (Guanacaste') and San Jose, there is very little open prostitution. Here's a short list of other venues:

Quepos/Manuel Antonio: Itsamana (private club), Bar Rosa, maybe some street action near Wacky Wanda's bar in Quepos. Beware of und***ge girls here.

Puerto Limon: Some gatherings of ladies early in the evening. Weekend parties may host a half dozen girls or more.

San Isidro del General: Bar Mexicana, NW of the town square.

Puntarenas: The Green Door and several other dive bars. Puntarenas is a filthy, dangerous little port town... some guys love it. Play-for-pay here is in the $10.00 - $20.00 range, with looks to match.

La Fortuna/San Carlos area: Some bar girl action, very discreet.

Aside from Manuel Antonio, I have no first hand knowledge of the places I've listed. The list above is based on what I've read here on CRT.

Remember that the further away you get from the traditional and well-known "hooker hot spots," the more likely you will be able to find a non-pro for traditional dating and mating. Although not technically prostitutes, many ticas will gladly share your bed, and will appreciate a small gift or cash tucked into her purse the morning after. How's your Spanish? Your chances of scoring (pro and non-pro alike) outside San Jose will improve with each level of Spanish you can speak and understand. Good luck, and be sure to report back here with your findings!

Once some friends told me that In Palo de Agua in Coronado there is a Famous Putero, but I didn't find it.

I think in San Carlos there is a place named SanCar, and in Guapliles there are a few places.

In Alajuela Must be at least one place, there is a bar named La Penca but I thing the girls are not prostitutes.

It would be great to have this kind of information. San carlos has a fairly lively bar scene on weekend nights, but I've never heard of a particular bar for p4p. There is a Bar Sancaa in San Jose where late afternoon action can be found.

Where did you get the word "putero?" I've never heard the word. I've heard "burdel" (bordello) and "prostibulo" (whorehouse).

As is often the case throughout Latin American, prostitution is where you find it. What that means is that the oldest profession can flourish in unlikely places. In small towns there may be a local girl who only tricks occasionally.

Let's keep this topic alive. I hope other members who travel frequently outside San Jose will be able to add to the intel.

From personal experience, there is at least one bar in Siquirres that's equivalent to a Calle 6 joint more or less. There's also a rip off strip club near Guacimo that's not too gross but is way overpriced and totally dead. One of these days I'm going to go to Heredia and Alajuela and ask a taxi driver where the locals go for prostratic relief. Sounds like something RBC might be interested in, I betcha.
