There is a great restaurant on Paseo Colon called La Bastille. It has been around for years, but was purchased last October by the chef Thomy. He is a swiss guy. He is a GREAT cook. Thomy has owned a few restaurants in CR in the past. Anyway, he truely is a great chef, and the prices are not bad. it is a nice place, with good service. Thimy has been known to frequect HDR and KL, so he's on board with te program. It is a couple doors away from Lubnan the Lebanese restaurant.

This place sounds interesting. Any idea if open for lunch and about what side street it would be near. I frequent the area checking the mp's during day and would like to check it out.rbc100

I ate at his old place the name of which I cannot remember.

He is a great chef of international talent. His cooking is probably as good as it gets anywhere.

He created a turkey meal for three of us plus dates a couple of years ago on Thanksgiving. I brought him some Alsacian wine which he appreciated.

I will see if I can find some photos for the photo section.

i forgot to mention a couple things. it is casual or dressy. dont let the waiter in the tux make you feel you are underdressed. shorts are no problem
also the waaiter antonio makes crepe suzette at your table fordesert it is very expensive...12000 colones, but there are 4 crepes. incredibly delicious
