Gents,

I will be arriving in CR on the 29th of June and am DYING to see the new Superman movie. Will it open in CR the same weekend as in the U.S. or do movies have a delay in arriving to paradise box offices?

Ruffnutz,

Don't worry the movies usually open up on the same dates all over the world in order for the studio to make as much money as possible on opening weekend. But if you need to see Superman before it comes out in the theatre try checking your local Video rental store in Costa Rica. I was surprised to see tons of movie which were not yet released on the shelves for rental. All bootlegs but available to rent.

Superman Returns actually opens on Wednesday of this week, so I'll be able to catch it before my trip to paradise on Thursday.
