Well the handy heads home thread came up when it looked like my job would wind down here. Well since then the company bouced back and we are launching in Aug! However I had started looking north (ie ge the family Canadian Passports etc). some say it will be a 5 year "sentence" ... maybe so. anyway I got a great job, excellent benefits and full relo and immigration. So ...hndy's last day looks to be here on June 30 ... From there to Medellin for a few weeks and do a honeymoon in Cartegena ... then to the land of ice and oil ...

ALBERTA

Im sure many of you I will never see again ... but like Sean connery ... Never Say Never. I will likely be spending my vacation in Medellin trying to fire up my own finca.

I'll be around ... who else can take shots at Paco and LH

You mean the job or living up there with an esposa that has never seen weather below 60 degrees? Hey that's the high forecast for manana Handy, isn't it supposed to be Summer up there? Boy she's gonna love it, good luck.
Maybe Latinoheat will come up and visit you next winter while I'm in CR banging his sister- let him borrow some of your long underwear and take him to a hockey game. :)

I hope they get their ass kicked for the third straight game tonight....GO CAROLINA! :P

Current Odds:

Handy Gets Fired - 3:1
Handy Gets Divorced - 2:1

Hey you know those divorce odds will change when that -30 below weather hits Alberta LH!

What are the odd of Handy eventually becoming a dirt poor goat farmer in Medellin? :? Or a divorced taxi driver in SJO? Or Vegas Bob's poolboy?

Mr. Solo,

You and I never really got to know each other. Your loss, of course. :P

I wish you the very best in the Frozen Tundra. (Hint: If you tell your wife the temperature in degrees Farenheit rather than Celsius, you may fool her into believing it's warmer than the subzero, ball-climbing, rectum puckering temperatures into which she'll be thrust).

I regret not getting to know you better. Best of luck and love to you, sir.

Well Handy ,
They say all change is good ?

So you will be taking your holiday in Lethbridge then ?
I hear the minus 50C wind storms are lighter during December.

I don't need to remind you to buy warm coats for the wife and JR.
come September.

You should remind her NOW that minus 40 F is the same as
minus 40 Celius, and yes it does get colder.

Or you could give her El Ciego's version, He speaks Spanish so it might
sound better.

Shit I am a bastard......... sorry.

If you ever get over to Vancouver gimme a call.

I usually have a sun burn by April.

Fiedler.

I have seen some beautiful photos of Alberta. Nice farms and settled by east Europeans? Oil exploration, moose all over the place and beavers. Migrating birds of all kinds and more farms. Clean air.

Could be worse.

and the Handy saga continues... If this latest twist is like most of the other life altering experiences in the life of CRT's representative from Northern Exposure, this story will continue along the lines of "Days of Our Lives." CRT needs to start a poll on what's next for the Edmonton Flash. How about "Freedom fighter in Afghanistan?" Perhaps plugging leaks in the levies in New Orleans..... negotiating a settlement between the Israelis and the Palastinians..... Running for President of the US as an Independent in the coming elections..... appearing on Al Jazeera as Bin Laden's right hand man replacing the asshole we finally killed (at least A would get back to the warmer climate) . Well anyways, good luck my friend...YOU'LL NEED IT

Isn't this the part of the Star Wars saga where Hand-Solo and Company must board the Millenium Falcon and travel to the outer reaches of the solar system to escape the wrath of the Imperial Forces? I love that part. Hand-Solo ends up frozen in time in a block of ice, and the Princess ends up half naked, and in chains at the foot of some obese dude named Jaba The Slut, hand feeding him grapes.

Handy;
Come June 30, it won't be the same around Sabana Oeste and Escazu. Tell VB that I'll be happy to take him to the cleaners, er I mean Price Smart.
Good luck Amigo!

aw, winter in Calgary's not so bad. It does get cold, but at least the air is dry, and you get the chinooks. What pisses me off about Calgary is that it starts getting cold early in the fall and stays that way until late spring. Not as harsh a winter as many other Canadian cities, but longer, and even in the summer the evenings are cool as the prevailing winds come off of glacier territory.

On the upside, I bet yer lady will look great in jeans, boots and a stetson!

Dont let them get you down. Welcome back to the land of "getting things things done" After 8 months down in CR in 2005 been back here for 7 months. See you next week Handy. But I will have a "Real Beer" waiting for you when you arrive. Maybe I should bring some canadian beer next week, when I come down, so you can start getting used to it again.

Hey Latinohheat you're such a good friend, after the pinkslip/divorce Handy will need you to get him a job at your office, sleep on your couch, use your towels, borrow your 350Z and eat your cheetos while he sends his alimony checks to Colombia and works his way south again. Hopefully he'll save enough dinero to fly over my house on his way to work as VB's poolboy after you fire him and throw him out...
