Sorry... I don't very often read the hotel section so I didn't know this was beating a dead horse.

Anyway, I'm off to the general information category to start a new "ugly american" post. :) I mean, it is been at least 3 weeks since we've had one. Keep your hair on guys.... I'm kidding.

On my last trip staying in 603 at the Presidente, looking across the street at the Balmoral after dark. The Balmoral has reflective windows which you can't see in the afternoon but if you leave the light on you can see in after dark. So some monger wearing nothing but his cap had a chica on him riding cowgirl and another girl laying beside him. It was about 8 pm I laughed my a** off while I watched for about 10 minutes. Don't know how the Presidente mgt feels about that but any eco-tourist looking out the window it would have been hard to miss

Mrs. Ecotourist: "Harry, what are you looking at with the binoculars??"

Mr. Ecotourist: "Wow! I've just spotted a flip-cap mongerbird and two beautiful specimens of the rubber breasted, tint-crested ramera!"

Think of the wonderful education that their ten year-old Ch*ld Little Bobby Ecotourist would get from observing these species!

Too bad you didn't have a camcorder close at hand... Now that would be something to post in the Video section.

YO Han:

The Balmoral has been providing entertainment for years. Noting new but I'm glad you became prevy to the big screen TV of your Presidente window on Central. Over the years I've had a number of the Bamoral guests peering at my Pres window with binocs trying to figure out why old Circus was dressed in various outfits or walking around in the buff.....Lord forbid. I've seen a number of crazy activities from my Pres windows including trannies dressing and applying their makeup.....getting ready for the night's activities.....whatever those were.

I could relay some stories with my experiences with the interaction between the two hotels but hell, it's old hat. For those of you who are new to the Pres, tune in sometimes when you are chilling out at night and check out the parade of events on the other side of Central......unless you are occupied with a chica. BUT, when finished, both of you return the favor and view thier show.

Been here 3 nights so I'll post an update. There are definitely a lot of tourists, gringas, and some families in the hotel so it's not hard to see why they want to keep things a bit discreet. I've had no problems getting chicas in so far but have followed LH's advice of making sure they have on long pants and a sweater or jacket zipped up before bringing them back. Obviously there are many sluttily-dressed chicas at the HDR that would not be allowed in.
Also noticed the News Cafe remodel they built a wall separating the bar from the restaurant dining area, kind of keeps the drinking crowd apart from the dining crowd, if you know what I mean...

Have to wonder if Circus walking around the hotel naked had anything to do with the Balmoral putting that tint on all the windows.

After spending 5 nights there I would like to add my experience to the list.
The first night I took a chica from the Honduras back and had absolutely no problem getting her in. She had long tight black pants on and a blouse that was not revealing.

A night or two later I interviewed a Tica at the DR and negotiated a price, etc. When I tell her my hotel, she says no and refused to go there. She had a somewhat short skirt, and I offered to give her a jacket to put around her waist, but she said it wouldn't work. So I moved on and interviewed another Tica. She had pants on and a fairly revealing top. After negotiating and feeling good about things, she asks where I am staying. Once the Presidente is mentioned, she gets angry and says she will not go there. Again I offer to give her a jacket to cover up with and she still refuses. She said we could go to a short time place, but I didn't want to pay the additional $25. She seemed to really dislike the hotel.

My last night I took a Tica back there after her friend warned her about going. She had on a zip up jacket and skirt that was maybe 2 inches above her knees. We get to the door and the guard refuses entry. I tell him I will not stay at the hotel again unless he lets her in and meanwhile a cabbie takes a longer skirt out of his trunk and offers that she can borrow the skirt. She puts it on and laughs at how she looks like an old lady. Now we get in and go to the room. Great session follows and I am quite happy.
I gave her some dollars to give to the cabbie for the skirt.

A couple Columbians that I interviewed seemed to think they would have no problem getting in (2 of them had jackets with them just for that issue).

I don't know if I will stay at the Presidente again. Love the hotel, the location, and met a lot of great people there. The chica issue is very frustrating though.

I am glad to see some of the Chicas are taking a stand. Boycotting the Prez is a great idea. Paco said he saw alot of families & eco-dorks there this week. They must stand out alot more with less mongers in the picture. Now if more chicas refuse to be disrespected & humiliated at the front door.... maybe the rest of the mongers will quit giving thier $ to this place.

I hardly think the chicas are boycotting the hotel if that's what you mean. The only reason they would not go with AJ is because they know they are on the blacklist and that they would not get in. This brings up something I've been wondering since a couple of nice chicas I wanted to be with would not go either, are they being put on the list after just one refused attempt to get in, or actually being given 1 or 2 warnings first as mgmt. said they would do- that blacklist seems to be growing awful long.

I also mentioned in the other thread (VIP section) my guesstimate that about 30% of the chicas on any given evening will be unavailable to you if you stay at the Pres.- they're either on the list or are not dressed appropriately. :?

As long as I have a nice place to sleep (No other critters attacking me in the middle of the night), A/C, Internet (Hey... It's like my 3rd arm) and able to bring a chica in no matter what she is dressed like then I am happy. If a place cannot meet all of my requirements, I will find someplace else.

I really liked the presidente, but will not step one foot back into there until they change their policy.

Here again we see how the Colombianas have their shit together! They are smarter & simply more business savvy than the others in general. I like this & a good challenge with them sometimes but nice to go back to a comfortable Tica or Nica. Isn't the variety pack great? Many times if I find a class Colombiana without any attitude they are worth a few more bucks.

Too me you have to be a pretty dumb Latina to limit your options by your dress but most these gals are not the cream of the crop in the gulch. I don't like a hotel limiting my fun since I am the payer but most of the time the Latinas I go with know how to dress like a class Latina or Colombiana. The good thing about this dress code is it tends to keep out the low life in a class hotel like the Presidente. I don't blame them in many ways. It seems to me that a hotel needs to pick a clear direction or path for its clientele. Either be a mongering joint or a family place. Hard to be both.

you're right. maybe this will open up more opportunity for smaller places like the SL, CV and hopefully others.

Hell, if someone were smart, maybe they'd buy a joint like the Hotel Asia, develop it and make some money.

I keep saying the Zona Roja is ripe for development too.

I'm glad this thread is still alive, not so I can bitch about the Presidente some more (though I likely will) but because it helps to know what the current situation is.

I don't come here to the forum often, I just use it before a planned trip to CR, to see what the latest news is, and to report any worthwhile experiences or observations I may have after my trip.

I see that the Presidente seems to be hassling chicas and us mongers more than ever, and that is helpful for me to know.

I think some of the girls are refusing to go there because they or their friends have been humiliated by being refused at the door, and that is enough to make them not like to go back there. No one needs the humiliation or hassle of being turned down at the door. It's bullshit.

Good for the girls who refuse to go there! The more they refuse to go there, the more mongers will refuse to stay there, and that is what is needed, to let El Prez know that their policy is going to cause them to lose our business. Once it hits their bottom line - IF it does - then they will reverse the policy. But as long as mongers keep staying there, they have no reason to change it and they won't.

I said from the beginning that CRT management and members should have made more of a concerted protest about it, because I knew that was the only hope of getting them to change it.

I, for one, am DONE with the Presidente until they do reverse this policy. I considered staying there, but not after the latest updates I just read here.

I hope this thread stays alive, with people posting their experiences here, so that other mongers can see how shabbily the Prez is treating them and the chicas.

And also to post any positive experiences, if anyone has any... They (the hotel mgmt.) have made their bed, now let them lie in it. I won't be lying in their beds, any more.

Good for the girls who refuse to go there!

Not to split hairs here or defend the Pres. (as the policy can be a hassle and something to consider when choosing a hotel) BUT once again I disagree and seriously doubt any chica would turn down ANY business along with 60, 80 or $100.00 just because some friend of her's can't get in the Pres. or they just dislike the hotels policy. Rest assured the only ones "refusing" to go there are on the list for one reason or another and cannot get in. Besides the chicas are working to make money and not concerned with making statements by boycotting hotels. They'll go to that dump Hotel Asia in a heartbeat, if they're so smart and organized why don't they boycott that place and make the mgmt. clean it up? :)

One chica I wanted said she couldn't get in at the Pres. but quickly offered up her hot friend  that could get in.

Maybe the Presidente having a strict dress code policy isn't so bad after all.

It will definetely weed out any slutty looking chicas from going there along with the ones that have caused trouble there in the past. If a chica tells someone they won't go there, they should ask a lot of questions as to why.
