Anybody done any mongering outside SJ in Escazu?

Last year, some Canadians told me to venture into Escazu. They mentioned several night clubs which I have forgotten the names of.

They said there are several clubs in the area where the girls aren't pros, speak decent English, upper middle class Ticas and are curious about the Gringo experience.

Goboy,

"Frankie Goes" is a popular club in Escazu.

Also try the "Jazz Cafe" in San Pedro. It's near the university and one of our member, Jazz Musician, plays there once in a while.

How good is your Spanish? Knowledge of Spanish will increase your chances of landing a semi-pro.

I do not know if it typical, but last year went to Jazz Club inSan Pedro with GF..seems like they want 6,000 colones to get in, and it was really packed with no place to sit. There are SEVERAL small bars/restaurants in El Pueblo that have live music.. Sort of fun if you want to drink/eat/listen and impress the GF.

San Pedro (Curridabat) also has another place called the K & S Brewery & Rest. I been there several times with a formal GF. It was usually packed & fun - almost all Ticos & Ticas. Good place if you want try their micro brews/german food & they have live music at night. Not a dance place. Closed Sundays. Knowing some Spanish would be helpful in picking up a local hotty here.
