well, i made my mid july reservations and for the 1st time i won't be staying at the presidente, there was no room at the inn.
green season and 6 weeks out and no room, i remember making resevations a week before with no problem, a friend of mine would some times just show up and get a room. it has sure become a popular place.
but the good news is i got a jr. suite at SL. everything i've read has been good, so i'm looking forward to my stay. last year i did wait out an afternoon thunderstorm shooting pool with a buddy and we both said that we need to stay there sometime, i guess this is sometime.
when staying at the pres, i enjoyed walking around alot, i probably went thru the BMand the casinos 15 times a day/night, and was always comfortable and never had a problem. i suppose that will change.
if there are any words of wisdom about staying at SL let me know

Tourist;
Walk to your hearts content durring the day. Actually, the walk from the SL to the gultch is quite nice. You can walk through 2 or 3 (depends on your route) very nice parks.

BUT! Take a taxi at night. Even if your only going a few blocks. Please!

Tourist, I hope you got yourself situated for July but if you have not I have a great house about ten minutes from the Gulch in Rohrmoser near Escazu. Much better than a hotel room, just get in touch and I will tell you everything you need to know about it.

Thanks, Deuceman

So maybe Presidente can afford to enforce a dress code even if they scare off some of the monger clients?
