1. Not to cause up a stink, but if you have a passport that's old or a little beat up, try to avoid the line that is being attended by a short haired, red haired older lady... She gave me a REALLY hard time, sking me all these questions about why I go there so often and she actually made me a little nervous. I think I read on another post that a lady of the same description made a gringo fly right back to the U.S. because the corner of his passport was a little frayed.

2. The anticipation of getting to SL is mind-boggling while waiting for your luggage

3. If you're returning on American Airlines, get there REALLY EARLY, as their check-in line is usually out of control (in my personal experience). Delta has never been that bad, nor has Continental, but check-in through American has always consistently been a nightmare when returning back to the U.S.
