I am looking to see if you fellow can help me with some apartment contacts that you gus might have I'll be in town for 12 days and would rather have an apartment than a hotel room. HELP

Have you tried the "Search" function on this forum? You can search apartments, and you'll get several articles about the subject.

Here's a short list to get you started:

Rincon de San Jose Apartment. This single apartment is attached to a hotel which is not prostitution-friendly, but they don't care if you bring a chica into the apartment.

Apartamentos Sudamer: I've stayed here. Very decent, inexpensive and secure building 7 blocks S. of the Hotel Presidente and right around the corner from nightclub (strip club) Pantera Rosa.

Vista Linda Apartments: Very hobby-friendly, located a short bus ride/taxi ride from all the action.

Casa Conde' - Aparthotel.

Do a search on any of the above places. If I can give you more information about the Sudamer, please PM me. I'll give you the owner's e-mail, and you can contact him directly.

Czar...welcome to the board. Go to the search function and type in Apartmentos Vista Linda. Carlos is the owner and speaks good english. Apartment with bedroom, bath and kitchen in gated community is about $120 per week. Easy bus to downtown and less than 5 minutes by taxi. Yes Don Gordo got robbed near there one Sunday afternoon....but that was more of a exception than the rule. It is actually a decent neighborhood. Lots of Americans either stay or live there , so you have good comradery. It is the where I have stayed 12 of my 13 visits. Tell Carlos that Keith recommended him.

I have stayed at Vista Linda several times and glad to say I will be there agin this week.Me and my son with carlos providing up and extra bed for about $140

Saw your inquiry. Don't know if this is what you may want. I have a large 3 bedroom home that is presently being renovated on the outside that will be a bed and breakfast for mongers when it is completed. I rent out my second bedroom quite often but it is free right now. You would have use of the entire house, kitchen, backyard for sun, patio. Best location I feel in the San Jose outskirts.
